Visited Myvatn and stayed at Sel. Good accommodations. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was always good. A good hotel to be in when visiting the Myvatn area. They have a restaurant in he hotel that serves good food and the hotel is also situated near popular eating places within a 10 km radius. They also have a nice conference area...

Breathtakin location......nice and big room with a dream of view. Reception restaurant and bar service were exceeding my expectations Tours are recommended.....they will be on time and won't cancel your booked Activity. The owner will go beyond for you as a guest. The northern light wake-up call was prompt. I swear I will be back. Thank you team of SelHotel

Loved this hotel. It doesn't look grant or new externally compared to some of the latest addition of hotels in the surrounding. But when we saw the room, we were impressed by the interior. We were told that it was newly renovated in late 2015. Everything was new and clean. Went into the toilet and realised the toilet was heated...

Stayed two nights during our recent visit to Iceland. Unfortunately the hotel rooms were outdated and in desperate need of remodeling. Not what we expected when we booked the hotel but maybe they were showing pictures of remodeled rooms. On top of that the service was poor, after the first night the room wasn't cleaned, glasses were still on the...

Hotel is clean, comfortable and warm. The location is ideal to explore the Myvatn area, which is a beautiful region! Importantly the staff, in particular Marcin, are very attentive. I was particularly grateful for his advice on how best to capture the aurora with my camera. I would encourage the hotel to take this into account and consider offering this...

The Sel Hotel Myvatn was the perfect place to stop. It is a quiet strip of road with a convenient store next door that offers all you can eat soup, while allowing you to browse for trinkets to take back home. The hotel itself had a lovely dinner, offering both a buffet and regular menu. The breakfast was a large...

The Mytavn area was one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. The Sel Hotel looks a bit dated, but our room was clean, appeared to be recently updated and was very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was the largest we had in our Iceland journey. The included breakfast was adequate, not particularly remarkable but plentyful.

This hotel was ok. It's close to area attractions and the staff were friendly. The room was clean. There is very little parking for the size of the hotel. The TV in the room was ridiculously small - not the biggest concern but it added to the overall impression you are being given very little for your money. Breakfast was...
