Great to find a hotel that allows pets so I could take my small dog with me. The beautiful beach is heaven for any dog. I was given a pet friendly room which wasn't very cosy. I totally understand the need for laminate flooring in these types of rooms, but this along with the dated rickety furniture, worn yellowing towels...

Thankyou to the Sandhouse hotel for your welcoming stay, my husband baby son and I had a fantastic time. Reception area was so lovely and cosy a lot of cosy lighting and lovely fire. Very friendly receptionists, our room was so spacious and we also had the travel cot all set up for us. View was just lovely, food at...

My beautiful daughter married the love of her life on October 7th in the Sandhouse. From first encounter with Paul Diver the Manager it was faultless. He and his staff were incredible. Nothing was a problem for them. The backdrop to the dining room was truly what "The Wild Atlantic Way" embraces. Food was excellent and the ambience of the hotel,...

We live in the East Riding of Yorkshire and absolutely adore Ireland, we have holidayed there for years, so we decided we would like to get married there, so we did. We spent our wedding night at The Sandhouse Hotel and we were treated like royalty!! All the staff were truly amazing, as was Paul Diver , the owner what...

We decided to look for a one night break and found this hotel, which is situated in an area we hadn't been to before. We booked the one night dinner bed and breakfast on the hotels website and turned up on the day to check in. The lady at reception did give us a slight scare when she couldn't find...

Recently enjoyed a 2-night stay at the Sandhouse. Right off the bat, it gets 4 stars for the amazing view from the room (definitely request an ocean view. Even if you're charged a higher rate, you won't regret it!). Unfortunately, it rained a lot of the time we were there, so didn't get to enjoy the beach as much as...

I had an overnight stay here and honestly can't wait to go back. The hotel itself just oozes character.... from the huge open log fire in the foyer, antique furniture pieces , lots of sitting areas which afford a sense of privacy if needed. Such a refreshing change from some of the more modern establishments I have stayed in recently....

This hotel was wonderful in so many ways. Firstly it sits right on the sea side with amazing views over the Atlantic. Our room on the second floor was large with a huge window looking over the surf and we could even lie in bed and watch the waves. It is deserving of the Country Manor house title as there...

How this hotel gets four stars is quite confusing. First, the location is gorgeous. The people who work here are exceptionally gracious. However if you are looking for luxury do not chose this place. It is in need of a TOTAL update. Shabby is how I would describe the rooms. The antique furniture is authentic but in great need of...
