Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in Christopher's apartment ( dog friendly ) for 3 nights. The apartment was spotless. The view from the apartment was stunning. Has car parking. We had fun watching the surfers on Rossnowlagh beach with the binoculars provided. The hosts, Anthony and Pauline, couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. We loved Bella, their beautiful dog with such a calm temperament. Our meal on the Saturday night was delicious. We loved it so much we cant wait to go back! Deirdre, Laura and Cooper ( the dog! ).

Our favourite holiday apartment! Stargazing, sunshine, wine on the balcony, the sound of waves. Perfect. Pauline and Anthony are wonderful hosts. We'll definitely be back! The downstairs restaurant - open Wednesday to Sunday - is superb. Be sure to book, as it's very popular!

We are a married couple who at the last minute were lucky enough to book a week in July in Christopher’s studio apartment at the Gaslight Inn, Rossnowlagh. We loved every minute of our holiday from start to finish. The view from our room was spectacular with wonderful sunsets to enjoy. The apartment was beautiful, clean, well equipped, with comfortable beds, and a balcony table and chairs for alfresco drinks. Our hosts Anthony and Pauline go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a great time. The bar and restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and menu. - the fish and chips were our favourite! Go and stay - you won’t be disappointed!

What started out as pulling into the wrong driveway turned into two fabulous days and nights at this wonderful Inn which sits high above Rossnowlagh Beach. The view is spectacular and Joe and I were treated to the most amazing sunset ever while sitting outside on the patio. The owners, Pauline and Anthony are two of the nicest people one could ever meet. They took great care of us and even loaned us the use of one of their surfboards for the day. Each morning Pauline fixed us a lovely breakfast to start our day off right. Our room was everything we needed and more. A very comfortable bed and furnished just beautifully. To be honest we would have loved to spend more time there, but will definitely stay again when and if I'm ever back there. If you're ever in the area, do yourselves a favor and book a stay at The Gaslight Inn...you won't be disappointed!!

This is my absolute no. 1 favourite place in Ireland - it‘s already the third time I stayed at the Gaslight Inn, and the first time after its complete renovation. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and at the same time modern and charming, and the view over Rossnowlagh beach and the Ocean is just spectacular. Everything is spotless clean, and the owners are absolutely lovely - we felt very much at home, and will for sure come back.

What a beautiful place! Rossnowlagh is such a lovely beach, and The Gaslight offers the best view in town. We stayed with 2 small children. The apartments have everything you need for a little break. They are newly renovated and finished to a high standard, with lots of little personal touches. There is a balcony to sit out and enjoy the spectacular view. The local area has lots to keep you occupied. The surfing looks fantastic, though we haven't been brave enough to take the plunge yet. And when you're done exploring Anthony and Pauline will feed you great food and keep the drinks flowing. The food was delicious, we were never disappointed. They are born hosts who will go out of their way to make your stay a happy one. You can see it isn't a job for them, it's a passion. A highlight for me was sitting on the front terrace, drinking a glass of wine, and watching the dolphins swim in the bay. Really, what could be better?

This feels like a family run affair and all the better for that. A bit of a wait for drinks and food but the setting is pleasant and it was worth waiting for. Be aware that vegetarian options are limited.

Just had the most beautiful 3 night stay at The Gaslight Inn. Recently refurbished and all the amenities you could need! No need to bring an iron or hairdryer! Anthony and Pauline were hosts of the mosts! Took my disabled Nan who is nearly 90 for her first few days away in years and it was perfection. Anthony and Pauline couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t get my son out the water, surf was epic. Food and drink a plenty. Views were spectacular. Booking for next August now as I need to get in quick!

Just home after a great night in the Gaslight Inn in Rossnowlagh. Such a beautiful house with a lot of history, check out their website. We met up with another couple for dinner and an overnight stay. Pauline and Anthony were so helpful and friendly. We had a cosy room with a side sea view, our friends had a full sea view room, both were comfy as Storm Dennis raged outside! Amazing view of the Wild Atlantic. Great meal on Valentines Night, good value at €25 and included a thoughtful glass of champagne! Breakfast this morning was cooked to order so was good, couldn’t believe we could all eat a full Irish after the lovely meal the night before!! Thanks again to Pauline and Anthony, we’ll be back!!
