Stayed for one night but that is long enough. Very outdated, cold and not too clean. Wall paper falling off the walls in our room. Obsession with the pope. Good full Irish though. I would like to send the Brennan brothers down to give them some tips.

The San Giovanni could be so much more than it is. The couple running it are lovely and terribly accommodating but the house is huge and very dated. The room we had was pretty cramped with furniture and the shower was not good. For one night it was grand, I would not have stayed more than one night though. Don't...

...unfortunately it has seen better days. This B&B is run by an elderly couple who do not seem to be able to keep up with minor and everyday repairs. They are very good and kind people and certainly do the best they can under the circumstances. The room was comfortable and sufficient for our needs.

We stayed one night there as we were guests at a wedding in Slane. On arriving we were informed that we were not getting a proper breakfast the next morning, as the person normally in charge of cooking had to attend to a sick relative. Decor in rooms very tired and dated, glass in window cracked; room was very cold....

Stayed here last weekend. €70 for a single room a couple of miles outside of Slane is a bit of a rip off. Breakfast was grand. Nice property but unless your a wealthy pensioner who doesn't mind cramped facilities I'd give this place a wide berth.

Joe was the ultimate host, making sure we knew about the things to do and see in the area, calling ahead for us for admissions, giving directions. When we arrive, he and Olive were planning on going out to play bridge, so our instructions were, "The place is yours until we get back, but, if you go out, slam the...

Good property with landscaped garden. The couple is very affable and good on hospitality. A number of historic sites within a 20km radius, including Hill of Tara, Newgrange Monument, Battle of Boyne, Trim Castle and Slane Castle. Also, while you're there, have a meal at the Poet's Rest in Slane village - good food!

We enjoyed our one night stay. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and our hosts were fantastic. Joe made a reservation for us to see Newgrange and let us use his computer. Breakfast was great and it is in a convenient location to see many of Irleand's historical sights. We are from Phoenix, Arizona so found the room a...

We loved our stay here. The room is comfortable, warm and the owners are super nice, just like staying with family. Would recommend to stay here. You will enjoy the owners.
