My husband and I travelled to Castleblaney in May 2014 and stayed at Alices Loft. What a find!!! Location was fantastic and the accommodation was first class. The house had everything that you could need. Everyone was so helpful especially the owner Declan. He put us in contact with a local family researcher, Joe, who was a mind of information....

We were very pleased with the house, it had everything we needed the owner was very friendly and helpful and even organised a courtesy bus for us to go to the local pub. Alice's Loft and Cottages became for us (my wife and I) our home away from home. We had the good fortune to enjoy almost 2 full months. We have just returned from a most enjoyable stay in Alices Loft. We have stayed in many houses over the years. We a re young at heart senior citizens and this was by far the best. The house was very well equipped and our host Declan was extremely helpful in a non intrusive way. We were bowled over by scenery...

Found Alices loft on internet great find, Declan is a gem, nothing too much trouble. Went for fishing mainly, Loch Muckno is fantastic, plenty of roach some skimmers etc. Great crack in castleblayney, loads of pubs good food, Corrigans Kitchen serves great grub, as does the Glencarn Hotel

I stayed with a business associate and took part in the Bog Snorkling!! Declan was so on the ball... Does this guy ever chill out.???. He works non stop to ensure all is running smoothly.. Also he's a 'T Total' guy!! As for ''Alices Loft'' the whole place really is home from home.. I will be back and will bring...
