Someone local recommended this B & B in Strandhill and I am glad they did... On arrival I was warmly greeted by Deidre and welcomed into this wonderful B & B just minutes from the beach, (prvt. parking). Lovely spacious bedroom & bath, the bed linens were luxurious & the mattress was incredibly comfortable...Great breakfast choices, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit,...

We had gone to climb Ben Bulben and a friend had recommended strand Hill and we found this B&b and got a room ! Very clean room big and spacious and lovely bathroom . Not shared so that was great . In the hallway there was a basket with mixed toiletries so that was very handy . Breakfast was continental...

Lovely spot in strandhill. Deirdre is very welcoming and a great source of local knowledge. Lots of parking outside. Breakfast is buffet-style but all you could want. Rooms are cosy and good value. Nice pub right across the road which often has live music at night.

Visited strandhill for a surf weekend with a group of friends. Ocean Wave lodge is the perfect place to stay. Deirdre is so nice, welcoming and helpful. We took over one of the hostel rooms, which was spacious and clean. The lodge itself is centrally located in strandhill, the strand, bars and restaurants are all within 5min walk. Breakfast was...

We turned up about 8pm no one was at the entrance which is not unusual for a small family run place like this, needed to working out the country code (+353) we managed to call for assistance and someone was there promptly. The rooms are what you would expect for the price range, showers where just about usable. I’m sure...

I was in Strandhill with my family 36 years ago and the other day I brought my own family down and had a fab trip down memory lane. First time I met the owner Deirdre and it was like chatting with a friend as she had similar memories to me. Aside from that the Lodge had a great family bedroom,...

We booked out the house. It was fantastic - sitting room to watch the football and nice big kitchen to play cards. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Deirdre was a brilliant host - very helpful and knowledgeable. They even drove us down to the pub when the weather turned apocalyptic and it was too wet to walk 5 meters!

Ideal location for a weekend break in Strandhill. No fuss friendly welcome despite our arrival at 11am. Deirdre was very helpful with recommending places to go and easiest way to get there. For a quiet and airy room ask for room 8.

Stayed here with 18 friends so hired the guesthouse as a whole. We received a warm welcome from Deirdre when we arrived and she had lit a huge log fire for us. The guesthouse is spacious and has great facilities. All bedrooms were en-suite and spotlessly clean. Deirdre then left us all down to the Strand Bar load by load....
