Detailed Reviews
We stayed for two nights in this lovely comfortable B&B which is perfectly located for access to local restaurants and river. It has its own entrance separate from the main house and is tastefully furnished throughout with good quality linen & towels. There are tea & coffee making facilities together with a microwave, small fridge & Nespresso Coffee maker.
The B&B now has only one King Suite with a separate seating room which can convert to accommodate an extra 2 people with an additional bathroom if required.
As well as a warm & friendly welcome Lily provided a super breakfast basket each morning.
We would definitely stay again and are very happy to recommend Glade End to anyone visiting Marlow.

Superb King size suite with its own entrance, spotlessly clean and great attention to detail with coffee machine, champagne glasses, fresh milk and OS maps if you’re wanting to explore the local areas. Fab location too with just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Marlow. What sets it apart from the usual Hotels/Guest Houses is the warmest of welcome from the owner Lily who was so endearing and helpful and lovely!

Overnight stay whilst visiting the Hands & Flowers. Good location short walk from the High Street with off street parking. Rooms at front are on the main road so expect so traffic noise but not enough to trouble us. We paid a little extra for the Executive King which was a lovely large room, comfortable bed with quality bedding and nice little touches. Clean and nicely decorated throughout. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Lily was lovely and greeted us with all the information we needed. Our room was pristinely clean, decorated lovely. Had tea & coffee making facilities and a very comfy bed. Just a short walk into town & parking a bonus. Lily gave us a fantastic breakfast hamper which was delicious and very thoughtful I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat.

Our host Lily was such a joy! The guest house was unexpectedly spacious and full of amenities. The best part was the breakfast hamper which was full of delicious goodies. The space is a little far off the main road but a quick walk to the water and shops, well worth the added steps.

Requiring overnight accommodation to compliment a meal at the nearby Michelin starred Hand & Flowers restaurant, we booked Glade End really as a last resort as all the more reasonably priced hotel and b&b accommodation had no rooms available. Positioned off a quiet residential street and only a 10 minute walk to the heart of Marlow, we had high expectations of our £105 per night ‘Quoitings’ room located at 75 Glade End just opposite the main b&b guesthouse. Check in was via a pre-given entry code to the main building with the room key enclosed in a named envelope just off the breakfast area, a great system if like me you don’t enjoy the usual fuss and requisite tedious check in chat necessary before being allowed to get to your room!
We made our way across the road to 75 Glade End having had little difficulty in parking our car, and climbed the stairs for an eagerly anticipated lie down. The room itself was perhaps the smallest ‘double’ room of any b&b or hotel we have ever visited, and I would strongly advise any couple with height dimensions in excess of 5’11” to avoid this room at all costs as even my dwarfish 5’ frame had little space to manoeuvre next to my modestly sized 5’10” partner. Seemingly not to be outdone by the rooms infinitesimal proportions a ridiculously diminutive en-suite bathroom measuring some 5’ x 1.5’ was both claustrophobic and extremely cramped. Worse was to come however when the ‘power-shower’ omitted little more than an enthusiastic trickle of water and, unforgivably, the opened packet of the last occupants soap sachet, complete with pubic hair, had been left clearly visible.
Whilst breakfast the following morning was excellent with an efficient and friendly service, this does not sadly compensate for the rooms deficiencies both in terms of its hobbit like dimensions and unacceptable lack of cleanliness in the shower cubicle. Had the room been priced more fairly at say £60-£70 per night we would certainly have been more forgiving of its all too apparent size deficit, but at the not un-considerable sum of £105 it was simply a vastly overpriced disappointment. Unless you are a very wealthy leprechaun or hobbit I would therefore strongly advise against visiting this establishment and instead try the £52 Premier Travel Inn some 7 miles north in High Wycombe. For the record the official VisitBritain.com website also clearly lists Glade End guest house as a 4 diamond awarded establishment and not the 5 diamonds with which they keenly advertise.

Thank you for your compliments and helpful suggestions. We have two sizes of double room and when you booked were only able to offer you the smaller size. We were, for many years, a 5 diamond guest house registered with the tourist board, all of which they will be able to confirm. We have now adopted the TripAdvisor guest assessment rating and reviews system as a better customer experience guide.

Had a morning appointment in Slough, but didn't fancy staying THERE! And Windsor was too pricy, so I cast the net a little further and looked at Marlow, and came across this place.
The owner, I think her name is Sue, was very pleasant, helpful and welcoming over the phone when I booked, and I was looking forward to it.
At £85 a night for single occupancy, I was expecting something above average anyway, and fortunately it didn't disappoint. I arrived late, so went straight to my room, located in a second house over the road.
The room was spacious and the bed very chunky and comfortable with plenty of pillows. Wall-to-wall carpeting gave the room a cosy feel, and the generous tea, coffee, hot chocolate making facilities were pleasing to see after the long journey.
The bathroom and separate WC were again very spacious and clean.
The only negatives were the lack of off-street parking (there is a small car park, but all the spaces were taken, although I had no problem parking on the road), and the walls in that second house are a little thin, and unfortunately it sounded as though my fellow housemates weren't in as much need of a good night's sleep as I was! Also, my room was directly above what seemed to be the owner's conservatory dining room, and they were dining rather loudly until 11.30pm. But even B&B owners have to live a little, I guess!
Finally, the best part, which was the breakfast. Cooked to perfection, it went down so well that I didn't even notice the lack of black pudding.
If I am over this way again, for sure I will be checking in to the Glade End.

There's probably not much I can say that hasn't been said already - although I must mention the shower which was wonderfully hot and powerful! A perfect way to start the day! The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped - they do have all the important bases covered and the breakfast was also very enjoyable, although the tables are a bit close together. Unfortunately, ours was a last-minute booking so we ended up with a small double room facing the main road and the bed itself was too small for my liking, whilst the WiFi service seemed a bit limited, especially for anyone staying on business. Reading the TA reviews, some people seem to like the self-service approach to check-in, but for me it is far too impersonal and I didn't exactly feel welcomed. However, the biggest downside by far was the road noise. Obviously that is something largely beyond the control of the owners, but even with the windows closed it was still very intrusive. Sadly, for that reason alone, I would not choose to stay here again.

Dear Wheresubeen, Thank you for choosing to stay with us recently. I am pleased that you enjoyed a nice hot shower and our chef cooked to order English breakfast to start your day. As you mentioned, due to your last minute booking the last room we had available was our executive double en suite. This is one of our smaller rooms with a double bed. Our executive king en suites are more spacious. I am sorry that you did not like our self service check in process and that the road noise disturbed you. Due to our close proximity to town, unfortunately the road noise is not something we are able to control. All our windows are double glazed to try and eliminate the noise. Thank you once again for staying with us and my apologies again for the road noise. Kind regards Lily

Glade End was lovely. Clean and well kept. The room was large and spacious. Breakfast provided an excellant choice to cater for all tastes. Check in system was a great idea and should be shared with other B&B's/hotels.
