This hotel is a gem, good food, warm welcome and the best staff ever. We return time and time again and the standard never drops. Maybe some people would find their generous approach to pets off putting but I have yet to find any pet or owner who were anything but well behaved!!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, not too expensive. Food good and wholesome, and good selection of beer and wine. Not keen on dogs inside the pub especially with food about, but seems to be expected that people can take dogs everywhere

Recently visited the Barbon for a 2 night break and it was great. A traditional country inn serving excellent food with a good choice of beers, wines and spirits. Breakfast was good and we stayed for dinner on 2 nights and the food was excellent. A nice cosy bar was perfect after a day sight seeing.

We stayed in room 10 which had a 4 poster bed and a settee and coffee table, a nice spacious room. As the building is very old the soundproofing is not great but generally this was not too much of a problem. Although the choice was limited at breakfast the smoked haddock with poached egg was very good. The dining...

On Sunday we had our christening lunch at the Barbon Inn. I can not thank Julia and her team enough for making our day so special. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional nothing was too much. The staff were so friendly and were fantastic with small children running around their feet and causing havoc! The restaurant was set...

We read reviews on Harbon Inn and was not sure if our stay would be good but we had a brilliant time. The Inn is very welcoming and most people spoke and joined in to have a great laugh and very cosy stay! We will definitely return and hope to spend the next new year there. There are many walks...
