Chrissie is a wonderful hostess and really looks after her guests well. Her house and collections are a delight. We both shared a liking for Regency china! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the bathroom spotless and the Lockholme Layer at Breakfast utterly delicious. A really super stay on our Coast to Coast Walk. Thank you.

We booked a 2 night break just before the second lockdown. We were SO lucky to have stayed here. The room was fantastic, very comfortable with en-suite and beautiful views outside our bedroom window. All COVID measures were in place. The place was spotless. Lots of room for muddy boots etc after beautiful walks in their stunning countryside. Joe and Chrissie made us feel very welcome. Tea and cakes on arrival, fantastic cooked breakfasts, using local produce. We will not hesitate to recommend Lockholme B & B to others and will definitely be back.

We stayed at Lockholme for 1 night in 2019 when we did the first half of the C2C walk. Chrissie and Joe made us very welcome and the rooms were immaculate. We rebooked this year for 1 night to complete the walk in the knowledge that the rooms would be of a high standard and Covid safe. On leaving the premises I left toothbrushes in the room and Joe went to great lengths to find us in the town to return them at the start of our days walk. Thank you Joe & Chrissie.

Arrived at Lockholme after walking 21 miles in the pouring rain on the c2c. We were made to feel so welcome, Chrissie & Joe the host’s got all our wet gear sorted out followed by home made chocolate cake & coffee. Our room was beautiful, obviously a lot of thought had been put into making sure everything you might need was at hand. Breakfast was lovely using local produce, my double yolked poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Lockholme is a must if you are staying in Kirkby Stephen, we will definitely be back. Keep on doing what your doing Chrissie & Joe. Thanks for your hospitality, Butch & Allison (p.s there will be some pork pies waiting for you in Whitby Joe).

My husband and I stayed here in late July for one night whilst walking C2C. The welcome was great and our room was immaculate with the best en-suite. Additional Covid related cleaning products had been made available in the rooms and also around the B&B. The B&B owners had gone above and beyond in respect to Covid procedures to ensure that all felt safe and secure without it feeling overboard. Both hosts very friendly. Breakfast was served in their lovely dining/breakfast room and could not be faulted. The jelly babies were especially appreciated when we reached Nine Standards. Thank you for that lovely gesture. Would definitely, absolutely, positively stay here again. A******
