Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for just a night & was made extremally welcome. I booked the single room, which was so comfortable. The duvet was like a cloud. The little personal touch's around the room were lovely. Very clean. Breakfast was epic. They are very accommodating. Chrissie's knowledge on walks in the area is great, really helpful local tips.

A beautiful experience for wounded C2C warriors. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and positively helpful. Every feature exceeded expectations, better than a home away from home. They went out of their way to help us sort out those unexpected holiday logistics with minimal of stress. Thank you Chrissie and Joe.

Perfect stay while my Coast to Coast walk continued. You’re invited to stay at the hosts home when visiting this B&B. Friendly hosts welcomed us at their door with a smile, tea and cake. Our room spacious, spotlessly clean, well decorated and pleasant. Our room was overlooked by the Nine Standards visible on top of the hill, my tomorrow’s climb.

We stayed at Lockholme B and B on our Coast to Coast walk. It was an absolutely lovely haven after some long walking days. Chrissie welcomed us warmly and provided us with a lovely bedroom and the very best overnight oats of the walk. She also gave us very good advice on our walk up to the Nine Standards. The B and B was only a short walk to the centre of town and pubs and restaurants. Lovely, lovely place to stay.

A super B&B. Chrissie and Joe gave us a really warm welcome with tea and homemade cake in the garden on arrival, and were so kind to us throughout our 2 night stay. The room was clean, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (especially Chrissie’s marmalade). At the end of the C2C my son and I had no hesitation in voting Lockholme our favourite B&B of the walk. Would love to return one day with all the family and, in the meantime, thank you again to Joe and Chrissie for looking after us!

Chrissie and Joe are up there among the best hosts we have encountered. We were bedraggled and soaked when we arrived but got immediate tea and cakes in a warm conservatory and a place to hang our things to dry. The room was lovely, the breakfast was outstanding and the chat was off a different planet!! We cannot thank our hosts enough for giving us a caring welcome and a really good, companionable stay.

Second time staying with Chrissie and Joe at Lockholme, again it was exceptional. We arrived at the end of a long days walk (C2C), on a very hot day, sat in the garden with them and had a cold beer. Rooms are super clean and comfortable, with little extras that wayfarers might be needing. Lovely breakfast, including fresh fruit salad as well as cooked options. 100% recommended!

A beautiful B&B. Warm and welcoming reception upon arrival for our family with tea and homemade cake in the garden. Chrissie and Joe couldn't do enough for us and accommodated all our needs. And wow what a breakfast, so much choice. Rooms bright clean with all facilities. A sun room for us all to sit and enjoy the garden. A big thank you once again and for accommodating our little man.
