Comfortable, clean hostel and nice welcome by the staff. Good showers and other facilities available. Thoroughly recommended as somewhere to stay in a really lovely part of the world - lots of walks, places to see and pubs nearby.

Both the hostel owner and her family were unbelievably welcoming and friendly. When we arrived from the station with large rucksacks the owner immediately brought us glasses of iced water, so kind! Big shout out to the owner's son in law who (unprompted) drove the three of us to a pub he recommended. It turned out to be a fantastic place and we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby swimming spot he told us about too. The hostel is the easily best I've ever stayed in after 10 years experience of "travelling on a shoe string". It's incredibly well equipped, spacious, comfortable and a fascinating building in a great location. Bang opposite a McColl's and in the centre of town. And very reasonably priced! I'm really looking forward to coming back.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hostel are further from the fairly busy road and will therefore be quieter.

We stayed here for a friend’s stag do. We hired the whole place to ourselves and it was just perfect for our needs! Loads of space, amazing communal area and right in the middle of the town. Lots of pubs, cafes and takeaways within a short walk. Right opposite a McColl’s shop too for anything that you need. I didn’t get chance to meet the owners, but the lads were saying how friendly and accommodating they were. Would definitely recommend hiring this place for big groups of people. Thanks very much!
