We arrived at this hotel Fri evening to a very warm welcome. The room had a rather peculiar smell on entering ..a cross between new paint & a burning plastic, however we got used to it! The room was stylishly decorated with good facilities ... a very good selection of tea & the shower was excellent. In the evening we...

We arrived at this hotel as refugees from the Blakeney Hotel further down the coast, desperately looking for a room for the night. We were offered a lovely large room with a big bed, two very comfortable arm chairs and a view over the town’s Georgian square. The hotel is old and full of character and we spent a lovely...

Stayed here fairly often & love it for what it is. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, very dog friendly & great breakfast. However it is a bit pricey unless you stay in a classic room. To be critical, the dinner menu needs a bit of life breathing into it....... some of the plates have been the same for YEARS!!!!! Also the...

Thanks for your kind comments Sheena. I hear what you say with regards to your few gripes, but I should point out that we change our menu four times a year to fit the seasons in accordance with my policy of serving food which is as local and sustainable as possible. The dishes which have been on for 'years' are...

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this great Hotel with everything you could ask for. We had two small dogs and they were made to feel welcome with a bed and biscuits waiting for them. The room is very well equipped with a very warm feel from the time you arrive to the time you leave....

Room was so comfy quirky and original - such a nice change from a boring old hotel room. Everywhere was cosy and comfortable. Food was excellent. But most of all staff were fantastic - stupidly left a phone charger in the room when we checked out and received a call from reception later who offered to send it back for...

I won a meal for two here a few weeks ago. Food was good. Customer service was impressive and they also gave us a free drink. The marmalade and ginger sponge was gorgeous. It would have been good to have spent more time here.

A fantastic stay! Had a one night stay here in the summer of 2016. Our room had everything you'd need to enjoy a very comfortable stay. Amongst features such as a cracking wooden four poster bed, we enjoyed a bath in a copper bath tub in a small secluded outside courtyard, a nespresso coffee machine with selection of coffee and...
