Detailed Reviews
This place is magical. When you arrive the whole setting takes your breath away. It's a little bit of heaven and the pictures do not do it justice. I think with it being a castle I had envisaged something cold, a little outdated and a little rustic. On the contrary, this place is amazing. When you walk in you are met by a warm, delightfully restored, beautifully impressive country home. Every room exceeds expectations. The decor is incredibly tasteful, the attention to detail second to none. Our bathroom with its beautiful cooper bath and Penhaligon products allowed ultimate indulgence. There was never a time where we didn’t feel incredibly spoiled. The real fires, the beautifully presented candle lit dinning room, the fresh flowers all creating the perfect ambience. The firewood is constantly replenished seamlessly. The breakfast and dinners were akin to any 5 star hotel. Alans team are lovely, never imposing on their guests, although always at hand to ensure your stay is carefree. This was a one off family celebration and each and everyone of us loved every minute. We all want to do it all again, although next time ill aim to hit some of the clays when we are doing the pigeon shooting. I can’t thank Alan and his team enough for making this stay so memorable we hope one day we will be back.

+1
We promised the grandchildren a weekend in a Scottish castle and no one was disappointed. This is a beautiful place - with a commanding location outside North Berwick, carefully restored, thoughtfully furnished, warm and homely. Alan and his team were wonderful. There was plenty of room for 11 of us, fabulous cooked breakfasts, one catered evening meal in the candle lit dining hall and a dressing up box. Plenty to do out and about too.

My daughter booked Fenton Tower for her wedding and our family spent the weekend there. Alan, our host, was superb, nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. Every member of that team were excellent, happy and helpful over the entire weekend.
The rooms were unique, making perfect use of the historic building. Most were large and all were fitted out in a stylish manner. Whilst there is no bridal suite as such, many of the rooms are more like suites with four poster beds.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and for a relatively small property, the choice of cereals, fruit, juices etc.was very good.
The property is wonderful - and the team there made it extra special and memorable

We stayed in the lodge for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The right amount of modern meets country, incredible views, immaculate property and the staff so helpful and great for wheelchair accessibility. North Berwick is a wonderful little town with a lovely beach and lots of nice places to eat - personal favourites - The Ship Inn and Zittos. Already wanting to plan our next trip back. Couldn't recommend more. We also had their recommend personal chef (Chef Cristian Picco) come in and cook for us and it was the best meal we have ever had - we would highly recommend him, either for group bookings or romantic couples one!

We booked Fenton Tower for my daughter’s wedding in June 2021. Having changed plans twice during lockdown we were determined that third time we would be lucky and would go ahead - but with close family only. Fenton Tower was absolutely perfect in every way, from start to finish - the glorious settings and views, the castle’s wonderful bedrooms and reception areas, Alan and his team - and even the glorious weather!! Although we had whittled the numbers down to just 14 people, we felt like kings of the castle for two days, and it was the best celebration ever. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and there are no ‘poor relations’ when it comes to the bedrooms. They are all beautifully decorated, warm and have sumptuous bathrooms. The lodge is also a supremely comfortable and tasteful addition for anyone who wants to be slightly away from the crowd, but still join in with the main party in the Tower. Views to die for all around are the crowning glory of this castle. My daughter and her new husband will have some glorious memories despite COVID trying to wreck our plans at every turn!

We spent two days and nights here over a weekend with friends and family for our wedding. The location is perfect for photographs. The building is magnificent both inside and outside. The manager and other staff could not have been better, and they were SO friendly, and the food they prepared was fantastic. All the guests had an amazing time and the additional clay pigeon shooting was brilliantly organised and much fun. It was a perfect weekend and we will never forget it

Stunning place. Fantastic host
Had the pleasure of staying in the Tower with friends on a sporting trip for 2 nights September 2021.
Firstly, the place is stunning. And it is kept immaculately.
The real star of the show is Alan, the host. Attention to detail and ensuring everyone had everything they wished was clearly a priority; professional, attentive, yet allowed the party the freedom to enjoy independently when required.
We were treated to an exceptional meal of venison on our second evening by his team and 2 excellent breakfasts during our stay in the Tower also. Very special place.
So good we have booked again for December. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Fenton Tower and the wonderful staff enough. Beautiful location, wonderful food and elegant rooms all tied up with a warm and cosy ambience. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area, from horse riding to walks along the beach, stopping in one of the numerous bars and cafes for a well earned beverage. 5/5!

We cannot praise the staff enough. Yes, Fenton Tower is elegant and comfortable and fun (so much, all of those) and the landscape around it beautiful. But it is the staff at Fenton Tower that will make your time there so special. We were a party of 12--a joint 60th birthday celebration--and Alan and Clair and all of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every idea, even when those ideas were more like whims. My husband and I have rented several great houses and castles before, but we have never had such personalised service combined with such distinctive and distinguished lodging and really great food. We're now trying to think of an excuse for another weekend party there...

What an absolutely once in a lifetime experience. My husband and I spent a few days here as part of our honeymoon, and it was the most memorable, wonderful stay. We emailed on the off chance they would take individual bookings, and were so lucky that the days we wanted they were! The building and grounds are so impressive, the staff so attentive, the breakfasts I'm still dreaming of and the rooms just so very comfortable. I cannot recommend Fenton Tower enough; if there's another special occasion we will definitely be back.
