Detailed Reviews
Such a shame that the toilet and shower facilities at the block next to the wigwams and grass tent pitches have not been sorted since our last visit 3 years ago. There are 2 shower cubicles (in the ladies) which are barely big enough for 1 person let alone trying to do it with kids. The shower head was non adjustable soaking me as I tried to switch it on for my son and then the temperature was impossible to control and my son was screaming as the water got hotter and hotter and I struggled to get it off. The block was just dirty the whole time, though campers themselves need to be more proactive in binning their handtowels etc
Its pretty disappointing when we were told 3 years ago they were going to be doing the block up acknowledging the poor facility.
The shower block up by the tourers on the other hand are huge, clean and modern so it feels like the site value their caravanners more than those camping in tents.
There are positives - good sized pitches (on a wee bit of a slope) with lots of room and the noise did stop at 11pm even when the site appeared to be at full capacity and the site is a 2 minute drive from a large Tesco and beautiful beaches and village of North Berwick. It is a great site for families.

Quite expensive for size of pitch for our Motorhome, however toilets and shower block were clean with lots of hot water. Our pitch was quite sloped and we needed the full length of our EHU which was driven over a few times. Good location near beach, walking distance to Tesco or Aldi.
My only complaint was the most grumpy man on reception. I felt totally unwelcome and that he was doing US a favour in letting us stay! Not a great first impression.

We stayed at Tantallon on the first night of our ten-day motorhome tour of Scotland and it was a beautifully kept site in a divine setting. Good showers, clean toilets, well kept pitches and everywhere had a view.
Walking through a right of way either side of people playing golf was an interesting experience but it was the only route down to the beach for a walk, and once there it was a lovely, picturesque setting, and in the morning sunrise a wonderful way to start the day before heading on our travels again.
We didn't go into the town as we were self sufficient for the evening, but there are a couple of well known supermarkets in the immediate vicinity for long stayers. It seems like a good spot for long weekends if coming up from northern England, reachable and decorative without too much driving involved. Highly recommended.

+1
Lovely small campsite on the outskirts of North Berwick. Great location where you can walk into the centre of North Berwick in 30 minutes. 10 minute walk to the beach with fantastic views over the bass Rock. Toilets and shower facilities at the tourer caravans are immaculate and in great condition. Hand sanitisers throughout the full site. Really good play park and a small shop. No entertainment facilities, which we knew anyway. Great for a wee weekend away. A tesco and aldi a 2 minute drive away and local chippy does a delivery service if needed. Will definitely be back next year.

This caravan park is very popular, and even though it was busy, it was a calm and quiet site for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. Having a view of the Bass Rock was immense.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful when I approached with questions and queries.
The toilet and shower facilities are relatively new, and we’re cleaned regularly, catering well for families and people with a disability. I’d definitely recommend this site, and North Berwick to visit. We will be back!

We booked three of the four wigwams for three nights and had such a fantastic stay. We were greeted by friendly staff, the wigwams were spotless and everything worked as it was supposed to. There were clean and plentiful toilets, the washing up facilities were great, and the wigwam kitchen had a fridge and freezer for extra space and kettles, toasters, hobs and more storage space for dry goods. We loved the fact the wigwam space was semi enclosed as we had 5 kids in total all aged 6 or under. The playpark was a massive hit too.
We will definitely be back.

Lovely campsite with good facilities. A bit pricey in comparison to all the others we’ve been to but I chose it for location and that is maybe what puts the cost up....you can walk into north Berwick in 20 mins. Would definitely return. Thankyou

Picturesque camp site. Clean toilet and washing facilities...albeit rather small cubicles for showering children. Excellent play park. Spacious plots for tents, with picnic benches dotted around the grounds.
In comparison with other sites with similar offerings this is very expensive. Does it offer anything more? No. I assume the cost is due to being part of a commercial chain and it’s location in North Berwick.
Sadly couldn’t access the WiFi on offer within the site. When raised with a particular staff member was told the internet was provided by a third party and nothing to do with them and that you don’t go camping to go on the internet. Was really taken aback by this response would sadly prevent me from returning. Hardly a welcoming and inclusive attitude of the site staff member, which somewhat marred an otherwise pleasant experience.

Stayed here in our motorhome for a couple of nights and we were very impressed. We were meant to stay a 3rd night but weather was bad. Welcome could have been a tad cheerier but you don't know what's going on in people's lifes I suppose. Although the pitches are in very good condition some of the grass ones have quite a slope so pack the ramps just in case. The toilets and showers are immaculate and very spacious so no issues with people getting too close. Everywhere is nice and tidy, there is a nice area to walk the dog, a small play park and the golf course is next door. 10 mins walk takes you along the beach and into North Berwick where there was plenty choice for eating even with the Covid situation. This is definitely a site we will return to.

We stayed for 4 nights last week in the easy access caravan we don’t require the access but we have a wee dog so this is the dog friendly caravan. The van was very tired creamy/browny coloured seating which was very stained even dining chairs were stained. Tie backs on curtains falling off. the tracks for the curtains were worn so curtains kept falling of the tracks. I know they don’t give you the best vans with a dog but this really needs a revamp. The caravan had been cleaned sheets , towels cutlery and crockery were clean but the van itself was very tired and very expensive! The site is clean with a little park and games for the kids but that’s it. We take our dog for a walk at night before bed and the park is very dark. If it wasn’t for lots of the residential caravans having solar lights on them I dread to think how dark it would be. The town is in walking distance if you are very fit.! Good job the weather was decent.

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom198 contributions60 helpful votesHiya. Coulee u take the dogs down to,the beach? We've just booked her for next weekend.
Yes, about a 10 minute walk across the golf course (path) & that's you on the beach. It is a tidal coast. Once over the course, you can go on the path to your right around the course to another quieter beach when the tide is out or head left down the hill towards the town for the other beaches.. Hope the weather is fine for you..
It's only a 5 minute walk across the site but down side yo this site for campers if your placed in the top field you right at the side of the road and it's not a quiet road
