Highly recommend a stay at 6A - Alan & Avril are superb hosts who have created a warm and relaxing environment for all to enjoy ! Cannot rate this place highly enough. Alan and Avril are the loveliest and most welcoming people. The room was perfect ,most comfy beds like a cloud and the bath was incredible. Alan also makes the best Scottish breakfast !!.the b n b is only 5 mins from the beach and its 5 min walk from train station. All in all a perfect, relaxing stay ,a home from home ,beautiful surrounding an perfect hosts I will now be a frequent customer 🥰🌈💕

We were 2 couples golfing in area . Could not have picked a better place . Very comfortable and convienent B&B . Alan and Avril great hosts and treated us as family. What more can one want ? Arranged a super private driver , Stewart Pearson , (eastlothanprivatehire) who was timely and super easy to make our airport / golf transports and site see all we wished . Hope to visit again in 2024 !

This is our 2nd time staying at 6a North Berwick and we plan to stay every August until Avril and Alan retire - at which point I may try and buy it off them! Firstly Avril and Alan are a kind, engaging and welcoming couple. Secondly, their home is delightful. A very short walk to the station, the main high street and the beach, it is such a good location in North Berwick. The room has super comfortable beds with the softest linen (such good linen that I have now bought it to use at home!), plenty of space and storage for unpacking (large chest of drawers and wardrobe) and a clean spacious bathroom with a roll-top bath. Breakfast is delicious and Alan will cater to your changing tastes - when we recently stayed he noticed my daughter left her egg yolk two days in a row, so on the third day he presented her with a fried egg with no yolk in it which really made her laugh. He also realised she added cold water to her tea to weaken it and cool it down so from the 2nd day she had a little pot of hot water and one of cold to make her tea the way she likes it. We have friends who live in North Berwick who would love for us to stay for them and obviously this would be free but we love the B&B so much we will return again and again. Thanks Alan and Avril and see you next August!…

I booked this B&B for my parents for a two night stay and they were raving about it. Lovely people, good breakfast, great location, friendly and well worth the stay was their review. Highly recommend it.

Gorgeous house close to the beach in North Berwick. Very friendly host who also had great advise on where to go for a meal or for a game of golf. Very beautiful and clean room and bathroom, and comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious and all local products.

The owner does not mention that their B+B is the upper part of a large property.Before reaching the front door we'd climbed a very steep flight of steps. To reach the bedrooms we had to climb another double flight of stairs.My husband and I are both elderly so found the stairs a real struggle. The breakfast was nothing special,the choice of cereal consisted of two Weetabix,some Muesli and cornflakes,two "tired" bananas and some satsumas. We were served a glass of juice not a jug, a small dish of jam or marmalade but not both, toast was basic supermarket brown bread! The cooked breakfast was acceptable but nothing special! The cost per night was £120 definitely not worth the money.

We stayed here for four nights in a very comfortable room with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was very good and Alan made us very welcome and recommended places to see and to eat. There are quite a few stairs because of the layout of the house but this was not a problem for us. I would recommend this to friends staying in the area and as there are only two letting rooms it felt almost like staying with friends. Thank you Alan and Avril
