Our first visit to The Olde House in September 2024 and we were not disappointed. A stunning self-catering cottage holiday park set on a working farm, with superb facilities including electric car charging, swimming pool, spa, games room, pets corner, adventure playground, tennis court and dog washing station.

We stayed in Primrose Cottage, a two bedroom bungalow, with a large garden area and patio. Tastefully decorated throughout, with comfortable furnishings, radiators throughout for those chilly evenings after a long day exploring the area.

The location of The Olde House is perfect, we managed to visit Boscastle, Tintagel, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Padstow, Rock, The Camel Estuary, and Trebarwith Strand which were all within a short car journey away. We also managed a little further afield to visit Polperro and Fowey.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your requirements and lots of seating in the lounge with a nice smart t.v. We found it very peaceful on site, which made for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Highly recommended!

We stayed in Chestnut cottage. We were impressed with the purpose built adapted ground floor facilities for people with disabilities (even has H tracking from master bedroom to wetroom). The Riser/recliner chair was also a fantastic bonus. We particularly appreciated the space: big wetroom, wide corridors, utility room and large living kitchen dining area. Space for equipment and staff kindly offered barn space for beach buggy and adapted trike etc. Many thoughtful touches such as a store where you can borrow games, DVDs, wetsuits, boogie boards on site. Helpful advice from staff before arrival re accessible footpaths and Christmassy events. Swimming pool facilities were amazing with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room that all work! There is currently no hoist into the pool but my brother managed with wide shallow (Roman) steps and hand rail bar. Adapted changing room in the pool complex was well equipped (no hoist). All very clean, both the cottage and swimming pool complex. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thorough review, our first (I think) for Chestnut, our new, fully accessible cottage. We have tried really hard to think of everything, so it's good to know you enjoyed your time there! We are hoping to have a hoist for the swimming pool in the next 12 months. Hopefully we'll see you again in the future!

Third time at the Olde House and we will be back (all the way from Scotland!).

Great accommodation and facilities. Pool in particular is gorgeous.

Brilliant to be able to borrow body boards, wet suits and wind breaks (along with alls other beach paraphernalia) at no additional cost. Saves a fortune on renting things!

The on-site shop is small but well stocked.

Activities for smaller children are lovely. And for the older ones (mine are 9 and 12), they are able to make friends and be off enjoying themselves in a really safe family environment.

Everything is catered for so it makes for such an easy and relaxing family holiday.

We have been coming to the Olde House for a few years now and it's perfect.
It harks back to more innocent times, when kids could stay out and you didn't worry for their safety, with an embrace of nature and wonder.
The accommodation is always immaculate - we have a three bedroom property for the week which more than suits our needs.
The kids can feed the lambs and see the other animals in the barn each day; make bird feeders and toast marshmallows; ride on the tractor or play fussball or air hockey.
The pool is first class, with a sauna and jacuzzi and staggered bookings to ensure it's never too crowded.
There is a barbecue each week; a supplies store where you can borrow DVDs or sports equipment and cooking items beyond the already well provisioned facilities in each cottage.
There is a soft play, tennis courts and mini football pitch as well and Padstow/Polzeath are very nearby.
We say every year that we want to come here until the kids bring their own families...it's wholesome bliss.

Absolutely brilliant! We have returned here 4 times and it has always been superb. The accommodation is great, facilities great, activities great, location great, staff great etc. we have booked again for next year, we love it. It is peaceful, the families who go are respectful and quiet and you never feel crowded because of the layout of the site and the booking system for the pool.

Myself, husband and three children have just got home from our second stay at The Olde House. We absolutely love it there! The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. We have stayed in two different cottages now and both have been very clean and well presented. The facilities are fabulous! The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are the cleanest I’ve seen. The farm animals are well looked after, the soft play is always well maintained and cleaned. It seems as if everything has been thought about and well planned. There’s a boot cleaning station, a 24 hour honesty farm shop, a store where you can borrow everything from crabbing nets to baby spoons. The beaches are all local and not too far to travel. The pub less than five minutes from the cottages is beautiful too. There’s also lots on for the children. There’s free daily activities and a variety of things to do. We have just booked to go back for the third year running and we cannot wait!

It was such a great holiday we have booked again for summer 2025. The location of the cottages is ideal to go and explore the local area/amazing beaches. The cottages themselves and the accommodation as a whole is spotless and really well maintained. The pool is as good as a spa pool and the floor-ceiling window at one end has a stunning view (especially at sunset). The honesty shop is really cute and great if you fancy some late night chocolate! This is the only place the whole family (adults included) wanted to return to.

Our first time at The Olde House, recommended to me by a client.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

The small touches meant so much. A Christmas Tree, mince pies and cream, pets welcomed. Premises well presented, nothing missing that we would possibly need for our stay such as iron, ironing board, hair dryer, wifi etc. Everything very well thought out.

My wife and I enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room followed by some game playing on air hockey, pool, table tennis.

The Olde House is well positioned for visiting nearby towns and villages so there was never a day that we were at a loose end.

An additional bonus for me was being able to visit family in Torquay, only about an hour and a half drive.

We will be back.

Another wonderful stay. The family and staff who run the Farm are always so obliging and the facilities are A1. They put on special events at certain times such as BBQs. Raining outside? No problem - use the pool/sauna/jacuzzi/steam/games room (the pool is honestly one of the finest I've come across). Like animals? Help feed them twice a day. The farm trail and bird hide are nice touches and the location is great. The cottages are comfy, there's a PenPont store to borrow things like nets for rockpooling, a farm shop on site and more. We've been three times now and will come back again. Thanks again for a lovely holiday!

We visited The Olde Farm for the first time in August 2023.
Within 24 hours we had established that nearly everyone else was a return visitor, within 48 hours we’d worked out why and within 72 hours we’d decided we were coming back next year and for every year we can do so.
We stayed in the Primrose cottage which is a bungalow with a double and a twin with our 5 year old and nearly 2 year old. The cottage was great, clean and had everything needed.
What makes the Olde House special though is everything that comes with it, the amazing pool, feeding the animals every morning with Farmer Kevin, the tractor rides, the pond dipping, the games room, the soft play, the woodland crafts, the family bbq and lots more.
The store to borrow wet suits, body boards and anything else you might want for the beach is a great touch as well.
The staff, Kevin, Jamie, Shaun and the rest are all helpful, amazing with the kids and always have a smile on their face. It’s just that type of place.
That’s before you even consider it’s on the doorstep of some amazing beaches (we only did 3 but there’s so many more!) and places like rock and padstow and with all they have to offer.
A very special week which we won’t forget and we’re already planning out what we’re going to do next year on our return visit.

Hello, you can leave your dog alone in the cottage for a short time (i.e. while swimming in the pool or attending an activity, provided you are confident your dog will be happy alone. We prefer that dogs are not left alone all day. Hope this clarifies the situation.
