Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights between 28/10/23-30/10/23 in the hotel in a king size room. Hotel room is nice, beds are comfortable. Lovely hotel and grounds with nice facilities. We used the indoor pool, sauna, steam room, restaurant, spa. The food was amazing and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. My only niggle is that the Wi-Fi in our room was abysmal. It kept dropping out all the time and was very weak.

We stayed in one of the apartments in the core of the building with a sea view. Huge living, dining, kitchen with big sofas to relax in. Supa clean. All bathrooms have Cowshed products which adds to the Spa feel. The pool and gym were not too big. Really friendly staff. Would recommend!

This place is excellent. The rooms are clean, feel recently renovated and include a full Sky package on the TV!! The indoor pool was pleasant and never busy when we visited. Staff were ALL happy and welcoming. The breakfast menu was extensive with large portion hot options and a buffet that included blueberries (a U.K. first!)….and all for an unbelievably reasonable price in such a picturesque part of Cornwall

My partner and I stayed in the accessible twin room for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Firstly, we received a warm welcome and the look of the hotel was stylish, and modern but also comfortable. It smelled gorgeous, which I think the spa was responsible for! We were shown to our room and although it was a little small and a bit lacking in natural light, it had everything we needed and the bathroom was extremely well kitted out to accommodate my additional needs re showering (sturdy stool, good handrails, place to put my shampoo etc). Lots of room to manoeuvre in the bathroom too. I had a fairly large mobility scooter with me which fitted into the room fine but not sure if a wheelchair user may find it too tight for comfort. I did sneak a peak at the accessible suite which I think would suit someone using a wheelchair much more to be honest but this room suited our needs perfectly. Full Sky package for when we were tired and wanted to just watch a film was appreciated. The barman was great and we sampled some delicious cocktails and mocktails between us. The fabric sofas are ridiculously comfy so bag one to spend your evening relaxing on if you can! The accessibility for my scooter was great - doorways were all wide enough, the lift was wide and deep enough, staff were more than happy to budge over a chair if I got stuck doing a three point turn (I hired the scooter from a local company so left my usual transport at home so was a bit all over the place!). I could use the bar terrace and restaurant with no issues and the restaurant team took to reserving the easiest table for me if they knew we were booked for the evening and every day at breakfast. I used the swimming pool, which again, was very accessible. I ‘drove’ right to the edge of the pool and there were steps with a supportive rail to use from there. They let me out of an alternative door so I would find it even easier to get back to my room as well - always so thoughtful without any sense of being treated as anything other than a respected guest and not ‘her on the scooter’. The food was great, the mussels a particular highlight in the evening on a Wednesday (£18ish for mussels, fries, bread and a drink). The breakfasts, well, wow. Such a wide choice such as all the Benedicts, omelettes, lovely pastries. The menu on the website doesn’t cover half of the fabulous things they can serve. Best hotel breakfast I’ve had for many years and the breakfast girls were so bright and friendly. Always ready with a warm smile for us. Everything about this hotel is lovely but the staff are the absolute jewel in the hotel’s crown. I did a lot of research to find somewhere I could relax and enjoy without being made to feel inconvenient or a pain and this hotel came through on all levels to me. I had a wonderful stay and it meant such a lot to me, when I said goodbye to the girl on reception, I was a bit teary in my gratitude for treating me so well and with such respect. I had a problem with the bed on day one and they changed everything to ensure our comfort within an hour - I mention only to demonstrate how quickly they respond and they did so with good humour, as after reading this review, you would expect! I will definitely be returning and will probably upgrade to the accessible suite for a bit more space. I really recommend to other people with mobility needs (oh, also disabled parking available right next to the room!), you will be looked after and made to feel right at home the moment you check in.

We rented apartment 210 for a week as a late summer break with our two 20 something boys. We were here last 9 years ago but had a similar apartment but in the main body of the building. It is a bit tired- and because this one is on the end, it is next to the car park and biomass boiler. Intermittently, the terrace is inaccessible Because of the smoke from the boiler. The main problem though was the noise. There are not any fans or aircon so you have to have the windows open at night. On Saturday, we’re were rudely awakened by departing wedding guests - one of whom rang on our doorbell at 1.45. The ensuing two nights were disturbed by a party in an adjoining property. Unfortunately, whilst the hotel were apologetic, and treated us to a spa treatment, they were unable to stop the revelry. We gave notice that we were leaving a day early as a result and were a little disappointed not to have had the courtesy of a reply.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at St.Moritz Hotel. Everything was just perfect. The room had everything we could possibly want. The location was absolutely perfect. The restaurant was great, wonderful breakfast, plenty of choice & dinner was wonderful. The facilities were wonderful, no real need to leave. The stars are the staff, so attentive and always cheerful. A special thank you to Petra and Rachel. Look forward to our next stay.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the St Moritz and had a fantastic time. We stayed in a cosy double, which was exactly that. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast each morning was excellent. The choice and quality is first class. We had dinner on the first night and this too was excellent. We had a few drinks in the bar and the prices are reasonable. We used the outdoor pool which is comfortably warm and they provide complimentary robes and towels. Now, we have to mention all of the staff. From the moment you check in until the time you leave, they are smiley, polite, welcoming and happy to help with any questions or requests. So thank you St Moritz, we will be back soon.
