Great staff and very friendly, the room was super comfortable and we slept amazingly well. We stayed in room 3 which was a twin room it was small but had everything we needed and although we stayed on one of the hottest days it wasn’t an issue. The staff were fantastic, very cheerful and happy. The only thing we wished we had done was order breakfast as we didn’t eat there ( we were on a tight schedule) but the food smelt and looked amazing.
No issues on the COVID-19 problem either as all rules were in place without being over the top and the room was obviously very well cleaned as it was spotless.
Thank you and we will definitely revisit.

We stayed in Saint Merryn for just the night and passed the Farmers Arms after walking the dog on Harlyn Beach. Called in to find they were dog friendly with a warm welcoming, the fire was lite and the atmosphere was very friendly. We relaxed snuggled up by the fire and ordered drinks and a typical ham egg and chips. Well they did not disappoint with thick slices of ham 2 eggs and yummy chips it was delicious. Highly recommend this pub, great food great service super friendly will definitely be calling in again 😊👍

My wife and I called in on the off chance of a spare table. The restaurant was full but the staff found a table for us in the bar. As we had our dog with us this was excellent. The Covid signs were clear and the staff very attentive our order was taken and drinks arrived in 5/10 mins.
Next our food order was taken we were advised it would be approximately 20 mins. The food arrived 15 mins later and was excellent. Fish and chips and peas for me and steak pie for my wife. Both piping hot and very tasty.
The pub was busy but not full the staff were friendly, helpful and service was good.
A great pub lunch in fact. The pub felt very safe and I would certainly use it again.

Hi all I think I must put this comment on here for the farmer's arms. we have stayed at the Farmers Arm's a few times now and in the other comments, people have commented about the car park and being fined for parking in there. This pub goes out of its way to inform you you have to put your registration in the machine if you are parked in the main car park. They even ask you when you are taken to your table to eat it's even on the table. The reason is as I was told that people were parking in it and then getting onto a bus to the beach so they did not have to pay for parking at the beach. It was not done out of choice and they do not get any of the fines that are collected. I have taken photos of the signs to show they are NOT hidden. Rooms great food great cider was even better and the carvery well 10 out of 10.

We visited for dinner, having struggled to get a table anywhere else and found a really welcoming environment from the staff, with good social distancing measures. The food was really good - came out quickly, with good timing between courses, good portion sizes and hot on arrival. Would definitely recommend.

The running of the Farmers Arms Inn has been taken on by new people. A new menu has been done together with selective nights a curry night is now in place in the week together with an extra carvery midweek. Sundays are the big one a selection of meats beef ham turkey and pork together with unlimited amounts of roast spuds and a big selection of greens an all-day carvery but be quick as you have to book a table as it is so popular. You can now have a starter if you need one together with if you have room for it a delicious sweet. We stayed for four nights over Halloween and can honestly say it was a great four days of food and drink. Oh and don't forget the bar snacks if you are full up from the carvery or normal menu. Pst try the beef and ale pie or the fish fresh every day from Padstow you will not be disappointed. If they carry on the way they are going they will succeed.

So pleased that we were able to come to Cornwall this year and visit our favourite pub. In these crazy and busy times we managed to book a table in advance and were pleased to find the food and service was superb as always.
In my opinion it is best place to get a proper meal. I'm not one of those here are 4 chips in a basket and a sprig of garnish for £24 people.

I look forward to returning in September.

The farmers arms is unbeatable. The food is home cooked and amazing. The staff are friendly and service is prompt. Had steak & ale pie today and my partner had ham egg and chips. For starters we had the buffalo wings and calamari. The buffalo wings are the best I’ve ever tasted and the calamari is not your usual thin rings, this was big chunks of calamari. They certainly don’t skimp on the portions here and you won’t leave hungry. Good ales and lagers on tap, all round winner. Will be back for sure.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the staff were so lovely . The room was lovely and had a very comfy bed and lovely lines and towels.
The downside to this place was the food. The breakfast was ok very mediocre.
We ate in here the first night and the food was awful .i complained and said I couldn’t eat it and was offered a free pudding . I would have preferred a refund as I really didn’t want anything else . There was dogs everywhere sitting dribbling as you ate .
Nice for an overnight but I would defo eat elsewhere

A really enjoyable visit to this pub near where we were on holiday. There was a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff, all before we even say down
Two of us ordered the rump steak. I wouldn't normally order a rump steak in a non steak eating place as my previous experience has been that we are served an inferior cut of steak. This wasn't the case, we both ordered our steak medium-rare and both were delighted with perfectly cooked steaks. These were served with chips, onion rings, tomato, large mushroom, and a rocket salad. I also had the blue cheese sauce, all tasted amazing!

Another in our group ordered the curry of the day (chicken pathia on our evening). He was delighted with his meal, more chicken than an Indian restaurant, sauce wasn't quite the same as an Indian restaurant, but he still really enjoyed it.

Another person had the steak and ale pie. Steak was tender and in a lovely sauce.

One person had the chocolate fudge cake (we all had a spoonful) it was soft and beautiful.

If anyone is looking for somewhere to eat out, we would all recommend The Farmer's Arms Inn in St Merryn.

Thank you for a lovely, delicious meal!

The cost of the room, do you have to pay extra for the dog?

Sorry, I don't know for sure. They do take dogs, though. There were a couple there when we stayed and in the pub, too. I can't imagine there being an extra charge. I didn't see anything like that when we booked. Extremely friendly, helpful staff.
