Detailed Reviews
Have posted about the Manor before but i have to review again, just back from 2 weeks hoilday in Galmpton and again we have frequented the Manor several times for food and drink. The owners, pub manager and staff are fantastic and although Covid rules hit them hard along with most businesses they have made it work seamlessly, the original outside area has be extended and modified to give a fantastic covered outdoor eating area with a great atmosphere.
Food and drink as normal are absolutley fantastic, this years Steak on a stone was a highlight for us but as usual very hard to choose from their delicious menu. Steak night is a winner too as its a selected choice of 2 meals and a bottle of wine (Red, White or Rose) for £25.
Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they all work tirelessly to serve and please their customers and of course they are very Covid aware and follow the correct protocols which puts people at ease.
If you are in this area its really a place not to be missed.

We have used the Manor over the years for food whilst staying in the area in our touring caravan, we no longer do caravanning but still loved the area around Churston so decided to stay here this year.
The room was presented immaculately and had a great view over the surrounding countryside, the staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble and as in previous years the food was absolutely fantastic including the breakfast.
The Thursday, Friday and Saturday Steak nights are great value and there is 2 quizzes per week if you fancy challenging yourselves.
We stayed for 9 nights and have no complaints what so ever.
Already booked for next year. Highly recommended in our opinion.

We visited here for lunch while staying nearby.
We were greeted by friendly staff and were seated together easily ( a group of 11) under cover on the outside decking ( all meals are served outside currently)
The menu was excellent and something for everyone! Kids included.
The wait was well worth it for the freshly prepared dishes that were presented to us. The appropriately named " widow maker" burger looked awesome and was very tasty indeed. The ribs and wings dish was also an incredible plateful! Make sure you are hungry!
Great pizzas, burgers, basket meals, all enjoyed.
Some local ales also available to wash it all down.
No one went away hungry. We will undoubtedly return again.
Thanks to the team at the manor inn. Keep up the good work

Food was very good and very plentiful. Go there hungry. I had roast beef with Yorkshire pud and roasties then the serving dishes came with five more veggie choices. Puddings were also good. Staff friendly and polite. A good experience and we shall be going there again to take friends from Canada and London.

When your expectations of “a pub with rooms” are exceeded a 5 star rating is justified.
Is the place luxurious? No but the welcome from Lauren and the very comfortable bedroom made an initial very good impression. All the staff and the owners ( Chris and John) were marvellous and a special mention to Linda doing the breakfasts. Good food on special deals (2 meals and a bottle of house wine for £25) and very reasonably priced drink. A lovely place and a memorable 3 night stay.

Most basic of ploughman’s which consisted of a small pile of shredded iceberg lettuce and a few slices of ham which were as dry as old boots. My partner had a Pizza which was overpriced and no bigger than a small side plate in size.
Over all found this place very overpriced and portion controlled.

We visited the manor inn whilst away in the nearby area. We booked a table for 7 o’clock and it was lovely to see most tables filled with people around them. The social distancing was perfect too and you felt very safe! The staff were so welcoming and friendly it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The staff had a amazing rota where they knew everyone was being served and happy while eating in the manor inn as the garden was fully booked. Once the food arrived it was exceptional, it was freshly made and we will definitely be going back.
I would 100% recommend visiting this lovely pub in this lovely village (definitely a little gem).

Ate here whilst staying in the area. Honestly couldn't fault a thing. Excellent service and food. One of our party wanted a variation on one of the meals, staff were more than happy to oblige. Would definitely return

Stayed at a local touring park weekend just gone and visited The Manor Inn twice. We were greeted with a warm welcome on both occasions with the locals being very friendly too. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a good fange of ales and lagers but the food was fantastic we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals on Saturday night (302) and compliments to the chef. The staff and landlords were all gracious hosts and will definitely return if only to sample the Sunday roast they do. A++
