Stayed from Friday until Sunday. The room was excellent, lots of space and a view across the village to the hills behind. Great base for visiting the sights, short walk to the local bus stop, and a regular service to Kingwear, Brixham and Torbay area. So the Car has 2 full days doing nothing. Great Staff in the pub, Service and Food were as one would expect from a local Pub. A lot of locals used the Pub which speaks for itself. Breakfast and Dinner were excellent on all days / nights. Linda looked after us well at Breakfast. Would I stay again absolutely, without hestitation

found this place as have dogs and lots of places not serving food to covid - so glad we did , first is dog friendly, has great one way entry/ exit system and large marquee outside allowing spaced tables . we ate here several times during our holiday and each time food and service was brilliant . will definitely be back next year!

Stopped off for lunch with daughter as walking to Greenway House. Friendly bar lady. Ordered two steak and cheese panini and very disappointing. Hardly any meat and what we had was tough and tasteless and more like roast brisket than steak. About six kettle crisps and some wilted salad. At £10.95 each I expected better.

Most basic of ploughman’s which consisted of a small pile of shredded iceberg lettuce and a few slices of ham which were as dry as old boots. My partner had a Pizza which was overpriced and no bigger than a small side plate in size. Over all found this place very overpriced and portion controlled.

The staff at the hotel were excellent and helpful. Very good breakfast and the evening meal is what you would expect from a public house. The one thing we were disappointed in was the accommodation. If you decide to stay there, check that they are not going to put you in room 3, it would have made a good single, but as a double there was no room at all. Not enough room to swing a cat.
