Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow. Truly excellent experience with spotless accommodation, flawless service and great food. Away from a main road in a village location, so relatively quiet. First impressions from the car-park do not reflect what is on offer,

What a great place to visit!! We had 5 meals at the Manor while we were camping just up the road. The staff were amazing and always found us a spot with the dogs for a quick bite to eat. The staff truly couldn’t do enough for us, really impressed. The food is all good home cooked grub. The steak night is amazing value if you get a chance to go, they even throw in a bottle of wine, which is a decent bottle (well we enjoyed it) There is a large outdoor seating area too on a raised deck. We had our two dogs with us but the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. They always had a cherry smile and welcomed us and the mutts every time. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Just remember to book a table as they are constantly busy. Well done to the staff, you’re all spot on!

We stayed two nights at The Manor Inn. The room was large, clean and comfy. We had all facilities needed. There was an outdoor area which was very pleasant. The Inn is a generous walk to the Dartmouth Ferry which we did on one of the days. The staff could not have done more and fussed over our dog who was allowed to stay with us. He also got a sausage for breakfast especially cooked for him. Even when the restaurant was busy the staff were very attentive. Overall this was a super lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend especially if you take your pooch with you.

My partner and I took lunch at The Manor Inn. The service was very good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was quite typical for this type of establishment, reasonably priced and edible.

My husband and I went for lunch today to The Manor as Brixham is too busy to eat at this time of year. Menu excellent, Sunday roasts available as well as a la carte. I had the chilli which was superb, properly home made and husband had scampi which was also superb with hand cut chips and the best mushy peas. Staff were so friendly as well. Will be regular visitors now, thankyou.

We have used the Manor over the years for food whilst staying in the area in our touring caravan, we no longer do caravanning but still loved the area around Churston so decided to stay here this year. The room was presented immaculately and had a great view over the surrounding countryside, the staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble and as in previous years the food was absolutely fantastic including the breakfast. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday Steak nights are great value and there is 2 quizzes per week if you fancy challenging yourselves. We stayed for 9 nights and have no complaints what so ever. Already booked for next year. Highly recommended in our opinion.

Until today I have had great meals and service at the manor inn Churston Brixham but they say 1 bad experience is worth 10 good ones and how true. \My good lady ordered a Pate starter which came from the fridge so cold it could not be spread and toast so small it could have doubled as a crouton but the salad was a mountain mess and poorly presented. Then sat at a table opposite was a couple in their 50s putting food off their plates on the floor for their dog including gravy covered carrot which the dog licked then spit out and while I know this is a dog friendly pub and have no issues with that throwing food on the floor for dogs is disgusting and unhygienic and when I as polite as possible asked them to stop as this is for humans not dogs I was told to shut my mouth and get a life which is why I have put this on trip advisor I asked a member of staff who gave no comment so it would be nice if Chris or john could answer if this is ok.

When your expectations of “a pub with rooms” are exceeded a 5 star rating is justified. Is the place luxurious? No but the welcome from Lauren and the very comfortable bedroom made an initial very good impression. All the staff and the owners ( Chris and John) were marvellous and a special mention to Linda doing the breakfasts. Good food on special deals (2 meals and a bottle of house wine for £25) and very reasonably priced drink. A lovely place and a memorable 3 night stay.

Went for a meal with my mum who struggles to walk. So we needed to avoid steps. Using the side entrance as it had no step worked well. Staff were friendly and keen to help. The food was ok. We only had bangers and mash but it lacked flavour and the gravy was a little thin. It's only a few ingredients so it's Important to make sure each one if full of flavour
