Stayed here after working jn the area as it was a good midway point between sites and seemed to get better reviews than the Exeter PI's . And had ample free parking too.

Check in was easy enough using the machine though it couldn't issue room card but member of staff was promptly on hand and sorted quickly.
6th floor room overlooking car park.
No noise at all from outside which was good, room was as expected of PI's comfortable, clean and with all I needed. Even had the most tv channels I've seen on premier inn controlled tv's too.
Was dining using meal deal. Restaurant is small but was not too busy and staff were friendly and always on hand.
Food was fine. Chips perhaps a little over done but that's being fussy, sadly my pudding was cold in middle but replacement was quickly delivered to me with " apologies from the microwave" :) love it.
Breakfast was usual buffet affair and there was plenty of everything available. World's slowest toasters but this seems to be something of a joke amongst regular guests to this chain. This was a regular toaster rather than the conveyor belt style often Seen.
I need to return to the area soon and will likely come back here as all in all a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Five members of the family stayed (3 rooms) for one night to attend a funeral in the area. From arrival to departure we could not find fault.
We all had an evening meal and full breakfast, the staff were extremely pleasant, the food was cooked to order and was delicious. We'd already paid for the breakfast (£9.50) whilst booking the rooms and contemplated changing to the meal deal for £24.99 which would have included breakfast and a 2 course evening meal including a drink. The staff were more than happy to amend accordingly, however when working out the costs we'd have only saved £1 or £2 each because coffee or coke was not applicable as the free drink but surprisingly lager was.
The rooms were immaculate and the beds were extremely comfortable. Even though the hotel is situated right by a main road, no noise at all could be heard from inside the bedrooms from either passing traffic or other guests in corridors/rooms.
The 5 members of our party are unanimous in highly recommending this hotel to others.

We booked a couple of nights at late notice after our Summer holiday was cancelled. We received a warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean. There was hand sanitizer in reception. We felt the hotel was taking every precaution to keep us safe.
Breakfast was well organised with a one way system and the staff were constantly cleaning all surfaces and chairs. A special thank you to Kerri who looked after us at breakfast and provided a great service.
The hotel is well located to access several beaches within a short drive. There’s an Aldi over the road - helpful as we forgot toothpaste!
Lots of lovely restaurants in Honiton.

We stayed for 1 night with my elderly father in law. We had to wait to check in as there was nobody around, we had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor opposite each other. Both rooms were spotless with comfortable beds, I think my husband and father in law were not very happy that the shower is over the bath. The shower itself is powerful and the water is hot, maybe a grab rail on the wall would be a good idea. (there are bobbles on the floor of the bath but it didn't feel that safe)
I managed to get internet on my Kindle Fire easily but husband was unable to get it on his lap top. Two more trips to reception later and much hanging around as nobody around he still had no internet, despite getting a free upgrade on the internet. The receptionist told him there have been problems recently.
We had booked breakfast for 8.15 but there was no table free when we got there and we had to stand around for 15 mins (not good with a 93 year old) When we got breakfast it was superb and the staff very helpful, they certainly have a lot more work at the moment.

Stayed for two nights as a short break stay. The room was very clean and to the usual high premier inn standard. The breakfasts were all freshly cooked and we enjoyed this rather than the usual self service. Some down points which were noted,

Lots of hand sanitizer stations but three of the units in the restaurant area were not working. There seemed to be liquid but possibly the batteries needed checking.

We were given the wrong room to start and the childs bed had no linen, we went down to reception to enquire and was told we were allocated the wrong room. I hope the original room was cleaned after we had entered it.

Breakfast service on the first morning was too quick, we were not given menus and had to guess at what we wanted! We asked what was available and was not offered a menu, the families coming in after were given menus.....very strange

The second morning we were given menus!! But the service was very slow and everything seemed too much trouble from the waitress. The food when it came was really fresh and tasty, shame about the service. We appreciate staff are having to adjust to working in different ways but simple customer service still needs to apply.

I saw people not complying with the arrow system, staff did not pick up on this or say that the arrow system is for everyone's safety.

We were not discounted our breakfasts even though they were advertising part of the eat out scheme.

When we were having breakfast a customer was at reception unhappy with some elements of their stay, I can sympathise with them as although it is difficult times customer service still needs to apply and the covid measures in place need to be compiled with and have hand sanitizer available in the units or check that the batteries need changing.

Stayed 2 nights at the beginning of August, not long after hotels had started opening up, post lockdown. The hotel itself was the usual standard I would expect from this hotel chain. The reception staff were very friendly & attentive on our first day, the room was spotless, although I did take my own anti - bac wipes & give everything a wipe down myself. Breakfast our first morning was very good & despite it being busy, the single handed more mature member of staff did an excellent job considering all the new Covid 19 guidelines. However, the second morning it was a different experience altogether, there were 2 members of staff, who had not got a clue what they were doing, we waited over an hour for our food, other guests were asking for refunds, the chef seemed to be wandering around clueless. It clouded our whole stay & would make us think twice about 7using this hotel again.

I congratulate you on presenting a very An An appealing hotel in a good location. The room met all my expectations and I was very pleased and surprised to receive a small token regarding the problems I had attempting to check in on line.

My Meal Deal experience was not very good however.  Having a very early start to come to East Devon to take items to our caravan in Beer. I was looking forward to a chilling evening with dinner in the restaraunt and rest in my room.  I booked the deal on check in. I assumed that all items on the menu would be available

I booked for 6pm and was very disappointed to be told that there were no steaks or rice available I ordered a drink and perused the menu.  Unfortunately there was nothing else that I wanted. I would have had a steak or mixed grill which have had good reviews. The staff were sympathetic but could do nothing and I cancelled the drink, the obliging lady refunded the charge and said she would record my feedback.

I went to M and S next door and got a sandwich. Not exactly what I had wanted

I did have an early night and slept well

I intended to have breakfast in the morning but I was awoken at 7.30 with a maid attempting to clean the room. They retreated when I made it clear I was still in the room . She said she thought I had checked out.

After this I decided I had had enough and decided to leave and get something at Gloucester Services for breakfast.

Not my finest Premier Inn experience

We received an email previous to our stay advising service may be impacted due to staff covid related absences however it was clear that the standard of premier inn at this particular site has severely dropped.
Manager was friendly on arrival but struggled to multitask, got flustered easily. We walked away with one key and asking for a ironing board which never arrived. At breakfast I asked him what buffet items I could eat being coeliac to which he replied " We have some gluten free bread that I can defrost and the buffet is what it is in front of you" I then repeated that I was asking which items would be safe for me to eat. He then went to get the food allergy menu which he should have done in the first place had he not known this already.
The main mattress in our room was not the usual comfortable sleep, it was noisy and not like previous stays. Our room was not cleaned for our second night and our towels were left in the bath.
At breakfast there was very little food items available, these had to be asked for with guests counting up how many eggs were needed to be cooked for the chef. There was no forethought to replenish food as it got lower, rather wait for it to run our completely then take 10-15 mins to cook.
During our first night myself and our daughter visited the lobby toilets where there was very little toilet roll left in one and none in the other. The following morning we went again and raised to staff that there was still no toilet roll. They then spend the next 10 minutes looked around the hotel for some whilst my daughter was sat on the toilet waiting.
It was like Christmas meant staff didn't want to make as much effort but could always blame covid where this did not seem to be the case when staff appeared very chilled out with no urgency to sort out guest issues.

The hotel unfortunately was very disappointing. The family room that we booked was quite clearly a twin room. This meant the beds were wall to wall without even a centimetre clearance between beds. The windows were sealed shut which caused the room to be unbearable even with the air conditioning on. The beds were scruffy with ripped pillow cases. The room only allowed for one bath towel per room which was utterly unacceptable and when raised with staff they were unable to resolve the situation. Also when we asked for additional pillows we were again told no. This resulted in us spending out on more towels and pillows to make our stay bearable. The restaurant at Honiton was incapable of serving the full hotel and actually encouraged us to eat our evening meal elsewhere. The reception was hardly manned making it feel very unfriendly. The room wasn’t clean enough for my liking either. The bathroom was grotty and I had to clean the basin and bath myself before we used it. Pubic hair that’s not your own is a massive turn off especially as we come through a pandemic. The floor of the main room also had sweet wrappers from previous guests littered under the pull out sofa beds. Also without a daily maid service the room quickly became gross.!! This experience has really put me off from parting with my hard earned money in the future. Honiton Premier Inn should feel very ashamed of themselves.

The Honiton Premier Inn is at a great location for visiting Honiton and Exeter and very easy to find. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean and modern, with a nice big bath tub and a powerful yet relaxing shower. No shortage of hot water and there were sufficient towels for my two night stay. Overall, I had an excellent experience staying there and I will stay there again in future.

There is a lift at the P Inn, but whether rooms are suitable for anyone disabled is not know by me I'm afraid. I didn't use the bar as it was during Covid and I didn't risk going into it. I can only assume that taxi's are running in the locality, but I'm afraid I cannot answer any more questions.
