Great to see so many positive reviews of this B&B. The review says September 2016, but I actually stayed here some 20 years ago (TripAdvisor didn't exist then, I suspect), having been rather under the weather, and it was fabulous. I still remember staying there to this day, and would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a 'home made'... More

Lovely place. Good location for us as walkers and cyclists but very hilly so not suitable for all unless you drive everywhere. Town just a 20 minute walk. Chagford also not far. Can recommend the Union Pub. May not look like much but decent home cooked food and cheeky, funny landlord. Also do the river walk to Fingle Bridge Inn.... More

We went in the Great Sloncombe Farm for three days. The house itself is a really old house with a lot of character. We had the Barley room. The room itself is spacious, but the bath room is very small but OK. The breakfast is fantastic and a lot of self made and local products. It taste wonderful and the... More

My wife and I stayed here three nights. If you like a quaint and "olde worlde" this B&B is the very definition but it's also very comfortable and relaxing - and yes, it does have TV and Wi-Fi should you need it. A friendly welcome from the land-lady Trudie and probably the best fried breakfasts we've ever had. The location... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my four nights at Great Sloncombe and, as a solo traveller, really appreciated the friendly and interested welcome I received. Trudie, Robert and Helen are wonderful hosts. The serene location, beautiful clean room, delicious breakfast and wonderful old home were a perfect base for exploring this part of the country. Thank you!

Despite only being able to stay for one night, Trudie made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The house is a beautiful old almost higgledy piggledy farm house, but the en suite bathroom was right up to date and the room contained everything we might need for a very comfortable stay. Loved the Kingsize bed, beautiful bedspread, and the views... More

Stunning farm stay. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this part of Devon, made all the more special by staying in such a comfortable home. Trudie is a wonderful host. The area is secluded but close to Moretonhampstead. The nature around the house is wonderful, so many birds and wildflowers. Will be returning again in the not too distant future.
