Just returned from a five night stay at this Lovely b&b with hosts that make every effort to be sure you are well cared for. The most comfy Bed with a skylight above that allowed for some fabulous star watching. Large room with a fresh bright decor. Extremely clean throughout. The breakfasts were absolutely perfect. Situated on the edge of a peaceful residential street, which is not our normal choice of location as like to be very much in the depths of the countryside. However you are literally two mins from the moor and it’s very well located for venturing out with lots of fabulous pubs to choose from for evening meals. We very much found this a relaxing and friendly place to stay and would highly recommend to couples wanting quality food, thick towels, crisp bed linen and a friendly smile from your hosts.

We have just come home from staying at the best guest house ever, and we have stayed at hundreds over our years of travel all over the world, The hosts Angela and Steve could not have done any more, nothing is to much trouble, we stayed in the down stairs room with its own private garden and patio, and the room is equipped with the most luxurious bed with feather pillows, good sized tv and fridge, and fabulous bathroom, breakfast was first class, with everything cooked from fresh using the best ingredients, The house is situated perfectly for travelling to Plymouth, Tavistock and all the south coast resorts. Thank you again Angela and Steve for a wonderful weeks holiday, and we will be returning soon Mick & Carole

Barbabas House B&B and its hosts; Angela and Steve are simply outstanding! Greeted on arrival with tea and cake; immaculate property with clear and safe C-19 safety measures - this was my wives first stay away from home since lockdown and she felt incredibly safe. Our room - Sharpitor was superb; the best nights sleep in years, huge kingsize bed, beautiful bathroom, small fridge and lots of extras. Breakfast was a joy; gorgeous locally produced and procured food, cooked to perfection which made this a 10/10 visit in a great part of Dartmoor national park. Gary & Donna
