We had been ‘shielding’ quite strictly when we ventured to Lyme for 3 days in early September. As soon as we arrived at Greenhill, however, Sara’s warm welcome and obvious attention to every detail (Covid and non- Covid related) assured us we could relax completely. Reader, we did! One can only agree with the superlatives of other reviews, but also include our list here: Welcoming hostess – all requests when booking and throughout our stay met with understanding and friendliness. Stunning views from house and garden, set in quiet neighbourhood Luxurious bedroom, with television (artfully concealed) and digital radio. Relax on comfortable sun-loungers in spacious garden; or hide away in any of several nooks and corners Wide choice of breakfasts, personally prepared, delicious and artistic! Tea and scones, beautifully presented, in the sunny garden. Comfortable sitting room, with great range of table games Only three bedrooms in total, so never feeling busy or noisy. Sara and Ed are proffesionals. To call Greenhill a b&b is misleading. A boutique hotel is a much better description. This was our second visit and we were looked after to a very high standard. This a five star establishment. The rooms are beautifully kept and the breakfast is very impressive and presented so beautifully. As well as the bedrooms, a lounge for residents with a lovely fire is available. Afternoon tea is provided.

This is simply THE BEST place I have stayed in. The combination of stunning views across the bay; a gorgeous garden to enjoy breakfast and the afternoon sunshine in; a beautiful bedroom with exceptional cleanliness and a very comfortable sleep-inducing bed; a lovely spacious bathroom with luxurious complimentary shampoo / shower gel etc. This is finally topped off by the essential ingredient - phenomenal hosts. This couple cannot do enough for you to make your stay wonderful. Kindness and friendliness abound n this luxury establishment and these two really do make it what it is.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Greenhill House for 3 magnificient, unforgettable nights. Sara and Ed were the perfect hosts; nothing was too much. Greenhill is an amazing house with splendid views. Our room was beautiful and elegant. Breakfast was amazing. We cannot thank Sara and Ed enough for such a wonderful stay. If you are looking for first class luxury in Dorset, it does not get better than this!
