Opened in August 2016. Lewesdon is a beautiful Edwardian house owned by David and Julia, who have lovingly restored it into a three bedroom Luxury B&B, offering individually designed rooms, all with modern amenities, whilst maintaining the elegance of the period property. It is situated in an elevated position, just a five minute walk to the town centre and then on to the seafront. Ample free parking is available on site. A delicious breakfast is offered, including a Full English cooked to order by Julia who also bakes the bread, as well as making granola, jams and marmalade and cakes. Other produce is locally sourced, including the bacon and sausages from our award winning town butcher. Free range eggs, milk and coffee are also sourced locally. Our aim is to offer guests a holiday experience which is relaxing and restorative, with a 'home from home' feel. We are an adults only property and do not accommodate pets.

I think 5 stars is an understatement for Lewesdon. I stayed for 3 nights and extended one more for added for business purposes. The hosts are extremely kind and have gone through extensive lengths to help me with my logistical issues and to ensure that my stay is comfortable. Shout out to the resident chef, complimentary daily bakes are to die for!

Spacious, clean, comfortable room, with nice extras such as damson gin, selection of teas, Welsh cakes making this a definite luxury B and B. A lovely breakfast with quality homemade food (and cakes in the afternoon!). We appreciated the effort to accommodate our dietary requirements. Location excellent for walking the coast path and close to shops/restaurants.

Thank you David and Julia for making us so welcome to your home. The room was immaculate with quality bathroom products and thoughtful extras… very much appreciated the Welsh cakes and gin and daily homemade cake. The breakfast was the reason I said better than home from home.. quality produce and homemade bread, compote and jam absolutely superb. Great B&B and thoroughly recommend for a visit to Lyme Regis.

We found Lewesdon while searching for a weekend break at short notice, and from the first telephone enquiry to the last farewell everything was excellent. The house is full of character and in a good location, our room was comfortable and well equipped, the food was outstanding and the hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful. In addition to the extensive breakfasts prepared to order, including home-made compotes, breads and jams, there were delicious home-made Welsh cakes in the room and different afternoon cakes each day. Situated in a lovely part of the country this was ideal for us.

Had great reviews so it had gone booked, and what a gem of a find. Easy to find and in a good spot, on a hill but 5-10 min to the seafront and shops etc. The welcome by Julia and David was very warm and friendly. The rooms were beautifull with complementary drink and amazing homemade cakes, different each day as Julia is a talented cake maker. breakfast is cooked to order and was excellent. The place has such a beautiful atmosphere and all the guests were friendly so it made for a good stay. Our room was not en-suite, but we had our own private bathroom right across the hallway which was fine aswe had complimentary bath robes so it was fine. Definitely a place to stay if you like quality which this place has, with such caring proprietors.

The little extras were really nice ..the damson gin and the homemade cakes were delicious and such a lovely touch. The freshly cooked breakfasts were excellent really hot and tasty and the fruit and yoghurt were sooo nice!! The location was ideal a short walk to the beach and town and having on site parking was a great bonus. We can't wait to visit again !!! Thanks for a perfect stay.

This is certainly an amazing hotel with excellent personal service from David and Julia. One of the most comfortable and well managed hotels we have stayed in. Great facilities. In a very hilly town, it is conveniently located for accesss to town and surrounding beauty spots. Thoroughly recommended. Mary and David

Recently stayed for my daughter's wedding. A very warm welcome awaits from the owners - David and Julia. Location is perfect for Lyme Regis and for exploring the surrounding areas. The owners gom'the extra mile' to ensure you have a lovely stay, from recommending restaurants, taxis etc prior to arriving and nice personal touches such as home made cakes every day, fresh milk left outside your room daily and one of the nicest breakfasts we've had - Julia is a great cook. Our room (Bay) was very clean and comfortable and whilst the bathroom is seperate, it is just opposite and exclusively yours (robes are provided). The bed was smaller than we're used to but was very comfortable. Off street parking is a real bonus in Lyme and I'd recommend phoning before setting off as there is a parking space in the garden at the rear. I'd highly recommend and would certainly stay again.
