Our second visit, and again a wonderful experience. Comfortable, clean, and what a view from the garden overlooking the Jurassic coast! Everything was done to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast delicious. We stayed in a smaller room in the house, then moved to a larger garden room. Both are comfortable, but recommend a garden room as there is...

We had a superb familyroom with beds, sofa, table, refrigerator, bathtub and tea, coffe and biscuits. The mainbuilding was a couple of hundred years old and that's where breakfast was served. The garden was lovely and the view was absolutely fantastic over the sea and cliffs. We brought our afternoon tea out there and enjoyed the sceenery. They have free...

We stayed at this B&B for 4 nights. We would recommend a garden room which gives you more space and a couch. The room, although old, was comfortable with ensuite. Breakfast was an extensive continental with fruits, yogurts, range of cereals, toasts, fancy cheeses and sliced meat. We would recommend this place. A real advantage - it's beside the sea...

I have just returned from this B'B, which my friend booked so that we could go on a fossil hunt. I had looked at it online but did not go further and read any reviews at the time ' oh silly me' just thought £70 for one night in a twin was price enough to pay for what I took...

Management response:

These lady guests arrived expecting a twin room even though we had sent 2 emails clearly stating that only a Queen size bed was available. Not a good start, but there was nothing we could do since the guesthouse was full. In the same emails we had also clearly stated that a full continental breakfast was served but unfortunately they...

We stayed here just for one night and found it very welcoming, 2 mins from the sea and 5 mins into main town. Bus from Axminster station stops virtually outside too. It is a thatched building, has an old feel inside (low beams etc), don't stay here if you like a modern place. The windows in our room weren't double...

Well located B&B close to the centre of Lyme Regis. Decor a bit old fashioned but perfectly acceptable. Room was clean. Best rooms are the family rooms in the annexe but ours was on the first floor at the back and it was clean and quiet. One compromise at the time of booking was the continental breakfast. In the event...

My partner & I booked in the London on the basis of on-line reviews such as tripadvisor for March 9th & 10th 2012. We drove from Kent so wanted to know we'd got a nice place to sleep. What you don't see from the brochure pictures is the corigated iron roof on the rear of the property. The room we...

If you're looking for a comfortable, centrally located B&B, you can't go wrong with The London Guesthouse. This 17th century accommodation is ideal for families, and the garden overlooking the sea is absolutely amazing. The owner, Jon, could not have been more helpful, and even gave us a ride to the nearby Axminster train station rather than let us take...

“Just call and talk to Nick or Sarah and let them help you choose the best room, if you are a family of 4 ask for room no 9.”

“I think we hade the most quiet room in the annex. But there you are not able to use the wifi because it's too far away from the main building. If you want to use it, just go to the main building where there are three chairs and a table in the hall outside the other bedrooms. I think the other rooms have more noise from each other (so it seemed when we sat outside). But I guess those rooms have more "atmosphere from hundreds of years ago" since the main building is hundreds of years old.”
