Gorgeous hotel, perfectly situated in Lyme (near high street and transport) with the loveliest staff I've ever encountered. Especially Jingling who made me feel so cared for while far away from home. Loved the breakfast baskets in the morning and would happily stay here again. Only complaint is the bed - but isn't that all of England?

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Lyme 1 Hotel in Lyme Regis. It was my wife and I, along with our friend and was the end of our 3 day hike through Dorset. The rooms were very nice, spacious and well appointed. Although the front desk was not staffed 24 hours, their service was great. The breakfast was delivered to your door every morning in a cute little basket and you had a choice of items. We had a wonderful time in Lyme Regis and would highly recommend this hotel!

Everything about my stay went flawlessly. My room (Sherbourne) was bright and stylish with a marvellously comfortable bed and plenty of storage space, Excellent shower and plenty of towels. The continental breakfast was ideal and beautifully presented, and there’s the option to top up with toast if needed.

We loved our stay here. Perfectly located for walking around town, very comfy bed, lovely breakfast and the option of grabbing fruit or toast when leaving early. Really appreciated the filtered water tap for filling up our water bottles to take out for the day. On top of all this, the owners went above and beyond for us when we realised we had left our passports behind in the room. They were exceptionally kind and reassuring when receiving my panicked phone call from two hours away, went and found our passports and even met us at Axminster station to hand them over. I tried to give them some money to cover fuel and their time but they wouldn’t accept. We are so grateful to have stayed here, not only was it a delightful place to stay but their kindness and generosity really saved the rest of our trip!…

Road noise spoiled my stay. I wouldn't mind a little noise, but when you get woken up repeatedly throughout the night it is a problem. It was also an issue during the day, starting very early in the morning.

I would respectfully suggest a little Google research would have saved you the inconvenience. The hotel is a 250 year old Grade II Listed Building and does not benefit from modern day technology like sound insulation and double glazing. Most guests apricate the charm and character of this historical building.

Lovely place. Stayed in Room 1 - the Cobb Suite. Great to have a large separate lounge area to relax in and spread out! Comfortable king sized bed and fantastic rainfall shower. The Bramley products in the bathroom were amazing! Bathrobes and slippers were a special touch. The quirky hamper breakfast with warm pastries was perfect and access to a shared kitchen where you could make toast, help yourself to fruit and preserves was an added bonus. There was also a fridge in the room which proved most useful for beers, picnic snacks etc. Nespresso machine provided in the room and extra pods in the kitchen. Milk in the fridge and a still and sparkling water tap too. The communal kitchen also provided access to a sunny terrace for quiet afternoon lounging. A lovely stay - met the owners who were chatty and welcoming. They were not always on site but a mobile number was provided and key code access to the main building meant you could come and go as you pleased. Other guests were respectful of the quiet times. We called in advance to check we could keep a bike in the room. This was fine as the Cobb Suite is on the ground floor and there was plenty of room in the lounge. …

Fantastic unique hotel in the centre of Lyme Regis. All the rooms are different & ours was lovely & with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was delivered outside our door in hampers which we ate on the veranda. Other great touches were water refilling taps in the kitchen (including sparkling water) also extra tea, coffee & biscuits. I realised I'd left my torch there when I got home, I emailed them & they kindly sent it back (special delivery). Many thanks.
