We fancied a quick bite to eat and as it was quite a windy Sunday we went into the first place we came to which was The Cobb Arms. A mistake really as on our subsequent visits we found better places where the staff don't have long conversations with each other and ignore the customer as has been our experience...

If you want tasty good old-fashioned pub grub then this is the place for you. Although my first choice had run out, I settled for the steak and ale pie and wasn't disappointed. It was very tasty, one of the best, & portion sizes huge! The mash that accompanied it was excellent. It appeared that all the dishes around me,...

We stayed here for one night with our little dog. The location is brilliant...right opposite The Cobb and a nice walk along the prom into the shops part of Lyme Regis. A really nice walk. The bedroom was really really nice. Very clean and well provided for. Bathroom looked like new and the shower was brilliant (makes a bit of...

We had steak and ale pie and it was enormous. We stopped here after a walk along Lyme Regis seafront in the evening (dark). Very quiet (November) and peaceful. Popped in as looked inviting. Very nearly empty, only a few locals and one resident customer, two young ladies for staff and I guess the cook. Food was as good as...

Went to the Cobb Arms for lunch last Sunday, having been before which we very much enjoyed. However, this time the food was to say the least average and not very tasty. They had run out of a lot of the menu and the choices were limited. The food was delivered cold and when I complained about this nothing was...

The service was very friendly and prompt. I enjoyed a delicious fish pie and my son had a lovely portion of fish and trips. The atmosphere was family friendly. The staff were very helpful and got a lemon slice for my son when requested.

It was a glorious day in Lyme, and we were looking for a bit of dinner and the menu was tempting....and then we saw the state of the condiments. Caked in sand and filthy. We brought it to the attention of the server who could not have cared less. This put us totally off ordering if cleanliness is not cared...

I am walking between Dunstable and Land's End. This is the 6th stage of the walk and I arrived at the Cobb tired and wet! Check in was quick and simple and the room was fabulous. A quick shower (which was wonderfully powerful) and I was ready for bed, which is a shame because the bar did look good. I...

Having lunch there and viewing the harbor where the French Lieutenant's Woman was filmed was really neat. The food was really good as was the service. We were just walk ins and were able to be seated at a wonderful corner table with a great view.

Well, what can I say? We couldn't open a tab and the reason for that must be the food is so bad you would refuse to pay if you hadn't done so before it had arrived! It was cold and of poor quality, when one member of the group very nicely said he had an issue the person serving us...
