We have just spent two nights at this amazing place. Mariko the host is lovely and cooks a fantastic breakfast. Mariko made us feel welcome the minute we arrived. The BB is above the family secondhand bookshop. All the rooms in the BB have wall to wall books. We had the front room which has a sea view. Mariko is... More

If you love books this is a great quirky b and b. The stairs are steep though so not ideal for everyone. We had the front room which has a sea view but is slightly noisy in the evening. Totally worth it to be able to wake up and look out on to the jurassic coast views. The b and... More

This quint essential book store at Lyme Regis doubles as a B&B. Pretty much right on the seafront this is a real jewel in the crown. I was visiting the Boat Building Academy and they suggested I call Mariko & Bob. I had the room on the second floor overlooking the bay. What a quaint little room it was with... More

We stayed here at the start of our holiday. We booked a room each as have 2 children so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Location is great right on the seafront amd in centre of the town. Bob was very welcoming and a perfect host showing us around. I loved all the books throughout. You are literally... More

We stayed at Booklover's B&B for just one night, but would happily come back to stay again. The accommodation was great, of very good quality, in a perfect location and all details had been considered. Mariko was an exceptional host - and made a fantastic breakfast.

My partner and I were lucky enough to get a room for a night in the Sanctuary B&B. The Sanctuary was full booked until September, but we were lucky with a booking. The Sanctuary is what it says, it is a Bookshop with B&B. There books throughout the B&B, I have never seen so many books. It is set out... More

We stayed at Booklover's B&B for three nights in early July and had a lovely stay. The place is really unique, with books lining pretty much every wall, and a general sense of warmth and relaxation. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. They made up a nice cozy bed for my 5-year-old, which she slept in like... More

Booklovers B&B is utterly wonderful - end of. Fabulous welcome from Charismatic Bob, Smiley Mariko and their great Boys - their place is one of the loveliest bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. Ever - Beautifully quirky, warm and cosy, great views of awesome Lyme Bay, wall-to-wall books in every room, proper cooked breakfasts. We will be heading back... More

We had a lovely stay with Mariko and Bob who are the perfect hosts. Every bit of information is provided you will need for your stay at Lyme Regis. Breakfast was very tasty and would recommend having the Japanese option at least once during your stay. The b&b is ideally situated being a stones throw of the sea, local pubs... More

I have stayed here many times. It is perfect for me as I really appreciate the uniqueness of the accommodation and location. Books everywhere.. up the winding, steep wood staircase and landings, (definitely not suitable for those with mobility problems) both bedrooms stacked full of books and the same for the guest lounge. The location at the bottom of the... More
