Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I highly recommend this campsite. Lucy is lovely. If you want peace and quiet in the countryside, this is the perfect place. The toilets are always spotless, the pitches are well spread out so one doesn't feel crowded, lovely views, excellent dog walking facilities in the on site woods, zero traffic noise. We really enjoyed visiting the several iron age hill forts nearby.

I stayed 2 nights over the bank holiday just gone with my wife and daughter and overall we had a wonderful stay there. The site only have 5 hardstanding pitches so its a small and quiet site, as we arrived both owners greeted us asking if we want a hot drink (never had that before) they were both very polite and as helpful as could be. Once they gave us all the site information we were left to our own devices to set up, the toilet area which is in a static caravan at the top of the site was clean and the site itself as a whole was very clean and very very peaceful. Its a well located site not far from Tenby, Saundersfoot and Narbeth. Very reasonably priced site and id Id happily recommend.

This is a lovely quiet site set in amongst trees and on several seperate places, so never feels crowded.
Lucy couldn't be more helpful nothing is too much trouble for her. We were trying to cycling to the NorthDorset Trailway, and dispite Lucy's best efforts we still couldn't find it. And she did really try bless her. I would recommend this campsite if touring Dorset.
In the end we drove to the car park in Sturminster Newton. If someone has, like us a motorhome this is the car park to go to.It is a nice large car park and very easy to access. You will have to pay for two parking places, and after 3p.m. it is free. This is the start of the trailway. I wouldn't advise the car park in Blandford Forum, not very big and access looks tight. The campsite is excellent.

This was a lovely quiet and clean site, and a great base for accessing places to see in Dorset. All the Covid-19 precautions were in place, and site manager Lucy was very friendly and helpful.
We had a gravel plot with electric hook up but grass and non-electric options are available too. The site appears to be mostly level throughout with perhaps a little levelling needed in places.
We didn't try the van terrestrial TV aerial but used EE mobile data for TV, the data rate on a 2-bar 4G signal was enough for iPlayer and Netflix, etc.

Due to Coronavirus of course the toilet block was out of action, but we were forewarned of this and had camper van facilities instead.

I'd recommend this site to others.

Stayed here for two nights . The pitch was large and level, clean and tidy . It's let down by a number of seasonal pitches that definitely need a good tidy up ,they let the site down. Toilets clean ,didn't use the shower .
Recommendations on web site for circular walks ,we set off at 6pm with our well behaved dog on her lead . As we neared the Bushes Equestrian centre a terrier ran up and went for her throat ! The woman owner was too busy eating ice cream to do anything . Luckily my partner picked our dog up . Apparently it was our fault for saving her by picking her up , THEY live there , they didn't expect walkers at that time (6pm ),they'd have leashed it !! ,our dog is bigger !! No apologies from owner ,another woman gave a reluctant " sorry " . Ruined our weekend totally .
Lucy from caravan site said it's drawn blood on her too !
Stay away if you want to walk with dogs or small children.
It's a shame it's been allowed to continue .

Really beautiful peaceful family run site, super helpful and patient, it was dark when we arrived and Lucy came out to see us in. Very clean and warm shower blocks with great showers. We will definitely be back.
