We stayed at weekend for wedding of some dear friends. Room and facilities great. The whole wedding experience in this hotel was really good and the sit down meal you couldnt fault for a mass sitting. Staff were friendly and service overall very good although bar staff on arrival at lunch time not overly exciting. Great choice of breakfast would...

We came here for a family get together, 5 adults and 2 17 year olds. The ambience here is great, a perfect location in the summer, but atmospheric inside during the winter, with the remnants of the former water powered mail providing authenticity to this historic building. We arrived on time and were shown to our table on this busy...

Having pre-booked to treat our friends, we travelled 20 miles expecting to dine in comfort only to be disappointed with certain aspects of our evening. Our table was postioned in a drafty position at the entrance to the water wheel close to the bar, with two window seats and two chairs. When the starters arrived we had no cutlery and...

This is a stunning property with a terrific restaurant and new longer-stay apartments in the Railway Hotel building on-site. The exterior of the Railway Hotel building is an antique, painted brick building - the interior will blow you away. The apartments were sleek, elegant, modern, spotless and spacious. I didn't want to leave and can't imagine returning to the area...

Pictures of the hotel on the website are accurate. This hotel is definitely very different from the chain hotels, and no more expensive, and has all manner of quirky detail dating back to when it was a working mill. There are still two water wheels, one of which still works intermittently. Booking was easy and check-in was very good, all...

Beautiful hotel, setting and service. We were made so welcome, rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished and decorated. Breakfast delicious and such a wide choice on cooked breakfasts. Evening meal great quality food, well prepared and served . Would definitely stay again and considering the apartments for a break later in the year . 😊😊😊😊😊

As we were planning to have a mini break which centred around the racing at Cheltenham, for a party of 10 we chose this not-too-distant hotel as it appeared wonderful in the photos and appeared to offer great value. Located in Nailsworth it is an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. Everything went extremely well from the original booking to...

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room was a good size, with a king size bed, very clean and with good quality sheets and towels. It's a very old building with low beams and very uneven floors. The restaurant has a waterwheel. Unfortunately we couldn't eat in the restaurant, as it was fully booked, which was...

Stayed Christmas Eve for one night. Beautifully located in Nailsworth in lovely buildings. Considering it was Christmas everything was in full working order, check in and out were great. Room was up in the eves of the main building which was lovely, inc a small Christmas Tree which was a nice touch. All very clean and comfortable, very much what...

I recently visited Egypt Mill for a party and stayed overnight, upon arriving at the venue from walking over the down the entrance road I could see the place had character and I wasn't wrong, I went into the main building to check-in and was given a room in the Jones Building which over looked the main Egypt Mill building...
