A tranquil family run adult only camping and glamping site, situated in beautiful rolling english countryside. We provide generous level pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans trailer tents and tents, most with electric hook-up. We offer lovely clean facilities, (separate ladies and gents with proper toilets and lovely warm showers. We also offer for hire a 5 metre bell tent (Harebell) and a beautiful Shepherds Hut (Daisy) both have the best views on the sight (over the valley) where we have the most amazing sunsets. All pitches have wonderful views. We offer breakfast and cream teas as well as bike hire. Workshops include oil painting and a beginner's photography course. If you are coming to visit then don't forget to look for the union jack flying at our gate to help you find us.

We stayed for two nights at Barford Top in late July. We stayed in a tent. The owners Wendy and Maurice were super helpful, especially when we needed an extension cable to access the optional electrical hook up, which we opted for last minute. Great flat pitches, lovely views and great walking nearby. Showers and toilets clean, good washing up facilities and inside space in the event of rain if needed, which we very nearly used due to an unexpected thunderstorm. Good Covid measures put in place. We had a lovely stay. Next to a working farm so cows and horses nearby. Great that it was an adults only site.

Beautiful views, Very peaceful with plenty of walking trails, good for cycling and Dog friendly.
Ideally located to drive to attractions if weather lets you down.
Hosts, Maurice and Wendy are very accommodating and friendly, their campsite is clean and tidy, you hear the occasional vehicle pass otherwise very quiet with the sounds of nature coming from the surrounding fields and natural habitat.

Have had a lovely relaxing short one night stay at Barford Top. It’s only around half an hour from home but it felt a million miles away as it is in a lovely location with far reaching country views. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, facilities are in a converted barn and there is also an area in there with sofas and dining tables if the weather is not great which is ideal when travelling in a small campervan. We visited the Queens Head pub in Saddington where the food was spot on and the service great. There are lovely places to visit nearby which you can drive or cycle to including Foxton Locks or Market Harborough. A lovely relaxing stay in a fab location which we will definitely return to soon.

We booked Daisy for a last minute weekend get away and it was just what we were looking for. Daisy was so lovely and cozy with beautiful interior Design, a two hob electric cooker and an electric cool box. As someone who gets cold a lot, I was toasty warm as she is well insulated and stacked with blankets for extra cold nights. The view is simply stunning with uninterrupted countryside as far as the eye can see which is quite something to wake up to!

I can not recommend Barford Top Campsite enough. Wendy was the friendliest host, with nothing being too much to ask. She made sure we were comfortable and knew where all the different facilities were even after we arrived slightly later than expected.

All in all, we had a relaxed and slow paced weekend surrounded by beautiful views and countryside- exactly what was needed! We can’t wait to return or make use of the vouchers they offer which sound fantastic for present ideas this Christmas.

Wow!!
What a find ... so tranquil and peaceful .. the views are just amazing and just what we needed, thank you .
We stayed on a last minute one night break in “Daisy” and she didn’t disappoint and we would highly recommend.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and they provided us with a very clean and well run and organised site and especially under the current COVID circumstances .
We will definitely be returning .. Thank you 🙏🏼

This was our second stay ay BT campsite this year. On both occasions Wendy and Maurice have been most welcoming, friendly and always happy to chat and share local knowledge on walks, pubs and the surrounding nature. Rolling hills and a sunset that always been a delight to watch. We intend to visit again next year.

The campsite was well equipped with great facilities.

We had a fantastic view from our Shepherd's Hut: The Poppy, which was incredibly comfortable and a comfortable bed. It was lovely and clean and tidy with everything we would need.

The social distancing measures and treatment of the pandemic was sensitive and professional.

Beautiful location. Helpful site owner but campsite facilities basic and definitely in need of some tlc. Things like toilet rolls not being put in holders, no hand towels in holder. A bit more attention to detail would make a lot of difference.

Stayed at this site for the second time, if you are expecting 5 stars facilities, drive on. If you are expecting a lovely small, family run site with a special human touch, stop here. It is my second time here at Wendy and Maurice's place, really enjoyed it in spite of the awfully horrible weather we had for the whole of our stay in Daisy. Super cozy and comfortable, thank you so much Wendy!

Hello Lisa Yes we have 2 pubs 1 mile away. One of them The Queens Head in Saddington is very dog friendly and very often allow dogs inside. They also have a lovely back garden with wonderful views over open countryside. They serve fabulous food at reasonable and are really friendly. Check out their website. Hope that helps. Wendy
