I visited this pub with some friends whilst you still have to eat outside and it was great. Enough tables under cover with a marquee and very friendly owner and staff that looked after us. Food was also great, good portion size and quality.
We picked this pub based on trip advisor reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The food and the service was excellent. The locals were all very friendly too which makes for a nice, homely warm ambience. The refurb has been tastefully done and you feel you have plenty of room to spread out around the table which is really appreciated. I would only suggest that the external look of the pub could do with a refresh too. It’s such a lovely place it would be sad if people judged it as not worthy of stopping. This is book not to be judged by its cover. Please visit and see for yourself. Great value too. The beef roast was divine.
Called in for Sunday Lunch. Land lady made us most welcome. Excellent lunch - Sunday roast and Curry special were 1st rate. Decor was very tasteful and we enjoyed talking to the locals that were at the bar. Would certainly recommend and we shall definitely return as this is one of the best eating establishments in the area.
After a hard day at work I didn't feel like cooking so we decided to try the newly refurbished red lion. What a treat, lovely food, very welcoming hosts, pleasant surroundings. A good well priced menu and very hard working, happy to help landlord and waiting staff made it a great night. I think I will decide not to cook more often! Highly recommended for good quality well priced food.
I booked a Sunday meal here as a surprise for my husband and we were amazed at the quality of the food, the prices, th hospitality, the atmosphere, the cleanliness.. in fact everything about The Red Lion in Sibbertoft was second to none. The Sunday lunch consisted of vegetables which were cooked to perfection, Yorkshire pudding and the trimmings but the usual beef, pork or turkey, was replaced by an 8oz sirloin steak which was delicious. The vegetarian option of jacket potato and three bean chilli served with side salad and a chive dip was equally as well presented and tasty. The log fires were very cosy and inviting and it was clear that the hosts were very popular with the locals. We were make to feel extremely welcome and will certainly be back the next time we are in the area. We would recommend The Red Lion to anyone, either couples, families or anyone on their own. A fabulous place to eat :) …
We visited here as a party of 18 ladies for a friend's 30th birthday and it could not have been better. The service was great, very friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious, all of us thought so. I had sirloin steak and chips and I've never had better! The steak was cooked to perfection. The wine menu was extensive. I enjoy a Sauvignon Blanc and took the landlady's advice on the Marlborough. It was beautiful, crisp and floral. I'll definitely be visiting again. Thank you Sarah and Andrew!
Passing through the village on the way home and decided to have a quick drink, the last time I visited the Pub was 23 years ago so also interested if it had changed. Recently refurbish to an excellent level, we only had a glass o wine which was good, staff very friendly.
Just had a great birthday lunch with friends. The food here is very good as always, well presented and tasty. The landlords are friendly and helpful and make everyone welcome. Very good wine and beer selection. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Whilst staying here was made to feel at home by both staff and local people. Nothing was too much trouble with excellent food and wine available.ideal for travelling base as close to many sites of interest.
