Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is our 6th visit to Westwood lakes and it never fails our expectations. Cabin was tidy and clean for our arrival. All of the staff are super helpful and always go above and beyond. Beautiful afternoon tea at the Mallard. Just another fantastic stay. Roll on the next trip.

First class. Husband is a regular visitor as a fisherman. Our first stay as a couple. Lodges and site are really clean. We stayed with our dog and we’re made to feel incredibly welcome by everybody-including the dog! Breakfast in the lovely, clean cafe each morning for a really great value start to our day. Everything in the lodge if you wish to cook, but it’s also all within walking distance if you don’t. Great pub on site with delicious cakes and coffee aswell as a pint. Really enjoyed our stay.

The was the second time I stayed at Westwood Lakes. My husband is a big fisherman and has been going for many years. He persuaded me to go in the summer with our new puppy. It was such a nice place that we have been again and just returned. The lodges are amazing, of very high standard and you have everything you need. We stayed in one of the new lodges, Lodge 27. My husband went fishing and I enjoyed all the lovely walks which were situated right alongside Westwood Lakes. Thank you Westwood Lakes for such an amazing job you do to keep everything 5 star.

The complex is really well looked after from the cafe to the pub. There are probably a few little bits in our bathroom that need a little tlc but on the whole the lodges are clean and tidy and all the staff are helpful and welcoming

Excellent Venue, Fishing is spot on, plenty of fish and styles of lakes to choose from! Lodges are spotless and really well kept - cant think of a single fault! The Venue is kept immaculate and they were constantly on with keeping it that way - strimming, grass cutting and tidying up. Pub was friendly and well priced. Café food was spot on, and it was kept clean and tidy. Tackle shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. Cant think of a single fault - even the weather was good! will 100% be coming back again!

Arrived Friday afternoon to a very warm welcome in reception. Been to Westwood Lakes on 2 previous occasions but a few years ago. Lodge was well presented, some areas looking a little tired (no.22) but perfectly comfortable and plenty big enough. Hot tub was lovely, cleaned and checked every day of our stay. Fishing was great all weekend, we were out early to start so had our pick of swims. Yes there were lots of matches which excluded some lakes but you know this in advance. All fish seemed in great condition. Used both the cafe and bar over the weekend and couldn’t fault either. The whole complex is beautifully kept, gardens and grounds were immaculate which really made it for us. We will be back

We'd previously visited the Mallard (on site pub) as we have family who live the other side of Boston, so decided to book a break there for all of us. We weren't disappointed, it's a beautiful location which is well kept, the hot tub was serviced daily and the staff are very friendly, the view from our cabin was amazing. The only down sides were the on-suite bathroom smelt of stale water and a couple of the dishes at the Fisherman's rest were interesting, not quite what they were advertised as, but this hasn't put us off. There's a large Supermarket a couple of minutes away to stock up on food/supplies if you happy to cook. The room has adequate cooking utensils, dishes etc. along with an oven and microwave. The fishing was excellent, we spent 2 days teaching my son to fish where he caught a few each day, plus spending a bit of time fishing myself. We've booked to come back next year!! Highly recommend it.
