I had 1 night at this hotel and i have to say it is up there with one of the worst hotels i have stayed in. The staff that i spoke with were helpful and polite and the food i ordered was tasty and well priced but that was as far as it went. The room was prison cell -like....

Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Good central position with on-site parking. Clean, neat and tidy. Enough said, we would return. However, the hotel feels a bit tired and could do with rejuvenating.

First impression with the receptionist had one possible fault, making it feel not the most genuine of warm welcomes. Although she was fine there after and the breakfast was top class and well worthwhile. Bed was a bit soft, not completely comfortable and creaky. Basic I guess. Shower was good. Ideal location

It was a nice stay. Enjoyed it. However.. I don't like write 'bad' things about places but unfortunately I'll have to this time. It's not such a bad thing but it would have made a difference to me.. The bed we had in a room was way too noisy! You could hear the springs moving and crunching with every turn....

Old town centre hotel. Single rooms are a little small but doubles are very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Just a 5 minute walk to the main attraction St Botolph's church (the Stump). The fair is in town early May so rooms in the front could be a bit noisy.

We ate here on Sunday of Columbus Day weekend for dinner. I ordered the large.salad with jumbo grilled sea scallops with their house made Ranch dressing.which was delicious. My friend ordered the ribs which she said fell off the bones and were very good. My husband enjoyed his oysters over pasta. Tip: if you like red wine, their Csbernet Sauvignon...

We booked this hotel on line and the photographs of the rooms made them look large and well furnished. we booked a twin room which cost £76.00. on arrival we were informed that breakfast would be a further £15.00. Our room was small with a window which looked directly at a brick wall. the furniture was basic and old. Although...
