Lovely pub in a fabulous setting. Parked up mid-morning and took the dogs around the village. Thrilled to find we could sit inside with our dogs and eat in the bar. Service was slow but it was worth the wait. Lovely freshly-cooked food. Fab bar service and an all round pleasant experience. Will be going again.

We visited here with friends, for the first time in three years. The ambience and the decor of the place are very good, with an old pub charm. The food was good pub grub. The service however, can be best described as poor. I am unsure, if they just do not employ enough staff, or if they are just badly...

We called in midweek, reasonably early in the evening. Low and behold we spotted several empty tables, however true to form there was no.room, odd that she didn't even need to consult the booking register. We could eat in the bar, if we wanted to fetch a menu and come back.with our order, wow thanks! On studying the same old...

We visited the Royal Oak the other day with relatives and had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Our meal selection was the Carvery, the meat was excellent and our only slight criticism was the lack of choice in vegetables. We dined in the Conservatory which was lovely on a bright, sunny day and cannot fault the service which was prompt and...

Well overall a lovely meal, nice place in a lovely setting, we went on a Sunday and was told they were just doing the carvery, a bit disappointing as I like to have a choice. Shame it was a bit noisy, could not hear my daughter over the table, the long table had a birthday party going on, not everyone...

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy a superb meal. If not eating, sit outside and take in the pleasure of a welcoming place. Step down to the ford (The Splash) and watch children's faces as cars drive through. Take a walk beside the stream and enjoy gentle Lincolnshire views (take your camera) beside the water. They offer a good menu....

Me and my crew opted for the carvery 'All You Can Eat' which unfortunately didn't live up to expectations . A small serving of meat and a lack of veg ( only 4 choices ) wasn't expected . Comments from team members were that other meals on the regular menu looked far better , so we will probably be back...

The Wednesday evening 'Surf & Turf' special was great value. Well prepared and presented food, in relaxing, pleasant & spacious surroundings. Smiling & helpful staff. The conservatory is light, airy and spacious. Lots of room to eat outside too in the lovely garden if the weather is up to it Well worth our drive out from Lincoln!

On a spur of the moment we decided to pop to the Splash for an evening meal. As usual never disappointed. The offer nights are great food and value, the fish and chips are the best in the area. Staff are always friendly and helpful and they will always squeeze you into the bar to eat if the restaurant is...
