We booked a Monday to Friday break in a Kinder Pet Lodge. We received a call from reception at 14.45 to say our lodge was ready (check in was 1600) although we still had another 45min drive to arrival we were impressed by the call. On arrival we had been allocated a Kinder Pet Spa Lodge and on walking in we were really impressed with how clean and modern the lodge was and a themed child's bedroom. plus, both bedrooms had en suite. The lodge was fully equipped for a self-catering break. We went on some lovely woodland walks and really had a relaxing time. The hotel has a lovely bar and outside area overlooking gardens. The Kinder Lodges are located by the lodge reception so are not deep in the woodland but on the outskirts near the main entrance, there are only 10 lodges located in this area, but we liked the location. There is nothing on site for children so definitely not good for family's unless you use it as a base to go out exploring. Mablethorpe was 30 min drive, Louth 5 mins. We would definitely return. and it is great for taking your dog with you as even hotel was dog friendly allowing them in one of the bars.

Modernish country house hotel and spa. Only stayed 1 night, arrived mid evening and left very early next morning. Cant speak to value, as I booked on a 3rd. party booking website. The price I paid was compettive. I was allocated a room in the main body of the hotel. I encounterd 6 staff, 2 on reception, 2 at dinner and 2 at breakfast. All were friendly and efficient. Diiner was hearty, rather than gourmet, but it was generous and nicely cooked. Breakfast is meant to start at 7, but by 6:40 it was well underway. It looked and smellrd tempting, alas my day's activity precluded a full tum! The gym and pool look comprehensive and well frequented. The bedroom, which was supposed to be a twin single room, turned out to be a twin king size. the beds were firm and comfortable with loads of pillows. the soundproofing is excellent with very little disturbance from other guests ( the hotel was fully booked) and no extraneous plumbing or heating noises. The room was also warm on a night that recorded -3c. There was plenty of hot water in the bathroom Why only 4 stars? Well..... It's all a bit faded round the edges. some of the decor, especially in the bedrooms is a bit old fashionned and tired. Would I recommend? Certainly, especially at the price I paid - £76.00 plus dinner and breakfast, all at less than a week notice.

Thank you for your thoughtful review of your stay at Kenwick House Hotel. We’re so glad to hear that you had a comfortable and enjoyable experience, especially in terms of the friendly and efficient staff, hearty meals, and the lovely amenities like the gym and pool. It’s wonderful to know that your room was warm and peaceful, providing a restful night despite the cold weather outside. We appreciate your feedback regarding the decor in the bedrooms—while we're proud of our overall atmosphere, we understand that certain details can feel a bit outdated. Rest assured, we’re always working to maintain and improve the guest experience in all areas of the hotel. It’s great to hear that you found excellent value during your visit, and we hope you'll consider returning in the future for another peaceful and relaxing stay. Thanks again for your detailed feedback!

The lodge we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed. We were very happy with the accommodation. However we were number 112 and in the woods and unable to get any internet whatsoever and this was a problem. When I asked reception at the hotel they said the lodges in the woods don’t get reception. We were not told this before we booked. My daughter had to do a counselling session sat in the car in the carpark because she obviously couldn’t connect in the lodge and she needed privacy. To even make a call you have to leave the lodge and stand on the front porch section. My daughter also had A Level course work to do and had to sit in the leisure centre to get it done. The idea was to go away and she could sit in the lodge and work or on the decking outside. The staff in both the hotel and leisure centre it must be said were lovely and very helpful. Also with over 200 acres, (I can’t remember exactly what it says on the website) surely a field or a bit of grass for any of the kids staying in the lodges to play football or run about on etc is possible. I booked the sports facilities before we arrived and my sons 10 and 14 were so disappointed. It is a concrete tennis court with a very small plastic portable goal . All they wanted to do on their holiday was play football. It cost £10 for half an hour and more then one booking can be made at once so you have to share the space with other people who maybe playing tennis so then you only have a small strip of concrete to play football on. I think to charge any money and call the area a sports court is actually laughable. We enjoyed our break as far as the accommodation went and the pool was a great extra but in my opinion it is a park for older people and couples not families.

Arrived to Lodge No. 11 on 2nd December for a week to attend our son’s wedding, which was held at the hotel on Saturday 7th December. The lodge was modern, clean, very warm and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of wardrobes and drawers. Kenwick Park is in a beautiful area with a Golf course, Spa, swimming pool and gym. We had a lot of setting up to do for the wedding and the staff at Kenwick Park were extremely helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us, accommodating everything we asked. We had a family get together at the Golf Club at Kenwick on Friday evening and the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us all. The food was very good, with a great menu. The wedding on Saturday, from start to finish was just perfect. The food was excellent, turkey, beef and salmon were all of top quality. Sam, the wedding planner and her team were amazing, as were all the staff at Kenwick Park. We could not fault anything and would definitely recommend Kenwick Park to anyone.
Proud Parents, M & C.

am currently staying at the Kenwick Hotel in Louth for two nights on the 4th and 5th while accompanying my granddaughter on a visit to the area. My experience has been a mix of positives though mainly disappointments, so I feel compelled to share my thoughts.
The hotel itself is beautiful, set in peaceful surroundings, and my initial impression was positive. Upon arrival, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was originally placed in a room in the cottage, which had a shower. When I asked if I could move to a room with a bath for the second night, the staff arranged this immediately and moved me to room 102 in the main hotel, which was much appreciated.
On the first night, we had an issue with the TV remote, which wasn’t working. I asked for new batteries, and the staff promptly sorted that out. Breakfast was ordered and paid for for the following morning .
The next morning, however, things didn’t look so great . My granddaughter and I went to breakfast, and we were disappointed to find that the selection was very limited, and the food wasn’t appetising. My granddaughter barely ate, and I opted for scrambled eggs on toast, which was disappointing considering the cost. I had expected more for the price paid.
Later that day, I had planned to use the leisure facilities, but I didn’t realise they closed at 6pm on Saturdays. I arrived at 5:20 pm, only to be told it was closing time which was a disappointment but that was something I had overlooking as it had been open till ten pm the previous night . I then went to the restaurant at 5:30 pm, hoping to grab something to eat, but was informed that the kitchen was closed due to a staff awards ceremony. I asked if there would be any food available at all, and was told no. This was particularly frustrating, as I was relying on being able to dine at the hotel and had no plans to venture out alone, especially with the weather being extremely icy. No alternative was suggested.
With no food options and a remote that still wasn’t working properly, I ended up spending the evening in my room, trying to watch TV on my phone due to intermittent internet. It was not the relaxing evening I had hoped for. To make matters worse, there was a loud party near the cottage area later in the evening. I was glad I had asked to be moved the previous night, as that would have made the experience even more enjoyable.
The lack of communication about the hotel’s closure of facilities and services on Saturday night was a big letdown. There was no mention of this when I checked in, nor was there any note left in my room to inform me of the situation. Had I known in advance, I could have made alternative arrangements.
Overall, while the Kenwick Hotel has a lot of potential and some friendly, helpful staff, the lack of communication and poor service on the second day left me feeling let down. What I expected to be a relaxing and enjoyable stay turned into a bit of a disappointment. It’s a lovely hotel, but improvements in customer service, facilities and communication are definitely needed. I sent an e-mail to the hotel when I was actually staying there and they said they would respond in 5 working days . it is now the 17th January and no response . Poor customer service .

Arrived told wasn’t ready 5 mins later it was ready Went to caravan / lodge All clean inside bedrooms a bit tight bed comfy Unpacked & got into hot tub Hot tub seemed a bit foamy and my daughter see a dirt line on the side of the hot tub behind bubbles also hairs floating about thought nothing of it as we’d walked bare foot to tub and I have a beared Next day I noticed our hottub being emptied I asked why and was told that we were supposed to have been in a different lodge but was changed last minute and they’d not cleaned out the old water from the previous guests !! Pretty disgusting I thought So hot tub was sorted all good That water wasn’t checked again until I called them to top up the water On reading the big do and don’t card nailed to the fence I found out that the hot tub is supposed to be checked twice daily and ph levels checked this wasn’t done and one time the guy said he thought we were in it when he arrived to do it and the second time my wife watched him fill a cap up with fluid chuck it in and close the lid !! Also there’s 320 acres of rolling countryside to walk and explore none of which you can walk to from the park !!! All the open areas in the park are fenced off because of Japanese knot weed the only walk on the park is the road in and out !!! If you wanted to walk a trail with your dog you’ll need to get in the car and drive anything from 40 mins to 2 hrs depending on watt trail you want to walk Very disappointing and won’t be going again All relayed to the receptionist who was very nice and polite and sorry

We arrived as per instructions and the lodge office was closed with no direction of where to head to collect keys. This was before 5pm on Thursday, considering you can’t check in till 4pm.
Got to the lodge up a road that was in a pretty poor state to a dark lodge in the woodlands area. It was dirty, and the bedroom near to the hot tub was damp. There were three windows that the locks were stuck and wouldn’t move. There was no chopping board and the knives were so blunt I had to use scissors to cut a pepper!
We had really poor tv, no BBC 1 or 2 and all other channels glitchy not great for wanting to watch the England game! The furniture on the decking was horrible and in such a poor state. There was no outdoor lighting to the hot tub that was not cleaned the whole weekend, and had lots of bits of tree in the tub. You had to use your phone light to see your way back to make sure you didn’t walk on a slug or three.
The driveway was pretty much just mud so we were stopping on the road to let others into the car to avoid getting mud in our car and the lodge.
The place looks below a standard haven caravan, it needs a makeover badly, it’s tired, damaged and poor value for money.
We used the spa, and despite booking no one checked our booking once, and the first time we went in it was much busier than we expected., pretty packed. The showers in the spa are cheap and half are broken, the clothes spinner broken, loads of the jets in the hydrotherapy pool broken. On the Sunday I had a massage and clearly was the last guest of the day - couldn’t wait for me to leave, went to the pool which I had booked 5-6pm and was asked to leave the pool at 5.45 as the building closed at 6pm!
Went to breakfast one of the days at the hotel £14.95 for a breakfast for everyone aged 12 and over, no choice of eggs just fried and mediocre sausages, a few boxes of cereal and a few bits of fruit and one choice of yoghurt. Self service tea and coffee, tea was steer and coffee cold.
I wouldn’t go back as it was definitely it worth my money and I would rather go to a haven site!

Lidge121 I booked thid lodge for my 70th birthday. At first I noticed on the paperwork I’d been given a dog friendly one which I did not book? First problem my son of 17 noticed a spider and cobwebs in his bedroom. I then noticed more in the lounge roof this immediately spoilt his stay. I then went to my bedroom and noticed on the green throw yogurt type staining?! this was also on some of the pillows for decorative purposes I removed them immediately. There is no cleaning provided or products and one very small thin teacloth. The dish washer did not take the tablet throughout the cycle. I hardly slept due to the noise from the hot tub throughout the night. Whilst in the hot tub if the person was using the shower inside it was pouring out the bottom of the lodge and the bathroom smelt mouldy. The door to this bathroom stuck so in the night one of my friends thought it was locked. As it’s used by two bedrooms. This had been reported two weeks previously by one of the spa ladies who’d stayed in the lodge some weeks before. It was a beautiful week last week, we were unable to use the outside seating as it was dangerous from all the green algae and potentially slipping on the decking see pictures. The worse is yet to come we decided to leave a day early I need my own bed. I decided to take the bedding off the other double room. I noticed two large indentations on the mattress and when I asked my daughter who’d stayed two nights only in there she said it was uncomfortable and she’d felt springs. Then I noticed all the staining on the duvet definitely old blood stains etc., when I removed the cover see pictures. I went immediately to the reception with the photos I explained I wouldn’t be taking any more bedding off and said I was upset that my family had stayed in that room and what potentially was under the rest of the four bedrooms. The settees had all old stains where the cleaner had attempted to clean them over many times again I did not ask for a pet lodge! . Until I had the place to ourselves the conditions very noticeable. I paid over a £1,000 for this stay and friends did suggest booking for another 70th celebration but unless the standards improve or checked I would not suggest this place to anyone.

I was apprehensive of my stay due to reading the reviews of Kenwick Park beforehand, however it was 5* experience. I stayed with friends in a lodge (number 120) and it was modern, clean, warm and had everything you could need for a weekend stay. On the Saturday we decided to book the swimming, it was free but we felt we would prefer to prebook a specific time online so that we knew we could definitely go in and the facilities were first class. The pool area has recently been renovated and also has a sauna, steam room, ice room, jacuzzi and outdoor hydrotherapy pool all of which you can use freely for no cost for the time you’re in there. The check in/out was easy and there are lots of items stocked in the shop, we chose to do a big food shop before we got there so did not need to use the shop but I did go inside and was surprised and the range of items. I also read on a review that there was no phone signal which was worrying me but I did not have this problem at all I had full 4G for the entire stay. I did not see or access the hotel so I cannot comment on that but based on the Lodges and Leisure facilities I would definitely recommend and stay again

The Afternoon tea was excellent. The food itself was 1st class and the waiting staff were very good. The room that afternoon tea was taken in is very nice, it wasn't too hot or too cold. If you want to take the food to another level just put the scone in the microwave for 20 seconds.
