Web page photo's cleverly deceiving and don't show the tardiness of the public areas. Room was not cleaned very well, bathroom floor covered in hair from previous guests and carpet not hoovered. Reluctantly had to wear socks to ensure feet were clean. Room 6 is directly above the restaurant so if you plan to go to sleep before 00:00 don't... More

Despite expecting your review the wording is devastating all the same. However on behalf of the team I extend the same apologies Izzy conveyed to you. Regardless of our opinion or that of the other guests who stayed on the same night as your family you were a guest in what we all consider to be our home and a... More

We stayed here for a catch-up with friends and had a wonderful time. We were welcomed warmly by Paul and Izzy and taken to our rooms. It would be unfair to compare this mature property to for example a Holiday Inn or Premier Inn. The name is a bit of a give away as that is what it once was... More

Went for the 7 course tasting menu. Was actually 14 courses. Great food, fantastic staff, hugely enjoyable experience, will definitely be back. Don't have anything extra to say but TripAdvisor say I need to write more. That should do it!

Exactly what is says on the tin. Couldn't reccomend this place enough. The hotel itself is situated in a fantastic central location in Louth, with free onsite parking. The perfect place to stay over in Louth, and to eat the incredible food in the Serendipity restaurant.

I have lived in Louth for 5 years now and have always wanted to try Pauls food. I finally got the chance on my birthday. The Tim Burton themed evening for Halloween was amazing. The food was quirky and tasted amazing! We had 15 courses! And Paul had made me an amazing birthday cake and the staff took it out... More

We stayed at the Priory for 3 nights and can't praise it enough! How easy it would be to book into the usual boring hotel we see all the world over that is instantly forgettable. We will Not forget the Priory. The building and grounds are beautiful. The hospitality was quite the best I have received. Nothing was too much... More

We visited last week and had a truly enjoyable evening. We ended up with 12 courses instead of the 9 we paid for. Each course was a real little gem. There is a lot of imagination in the kitchen which is reflected onto the table. The staff where very polite and made you feel wanted. Well done to everyone involved... More

We have visited the priory for the past ten years or so. Paul is the perfect host and we love his welcome and fantastic hospitality. He often employs young people who can have difficulties in life. Paul introduces them to the world of work helping them to open doors for themselves and grasp further opportunities in the future. He is... More

We stayed for a weekend while attending a wedding elsewhere in the town. The staff were very welcoming, the breakfasts were ample and tasty, the Gothic architecture of the hotel building was stimulating to observe. We'd recommend it. The gardens are worth a wander.

Stayed for 2 nights as in the area for a friends wedding. Arrived with the dog to be told NO DOGS allowed. Oops! The owner, Paul, soon made up some rules which were easy enough to live with, don't let the dog in the restaurant otherwise he is very welcome. Much appreciated gesture. The stay was wonderful. Very good staff,... More
