We visited here this week for a short 3 night break away with our little family. We were tentative around going away due to Covid and chose Lincolnshire as the infection rate was low. We also chose this site due to the fact that the owners were really taking their guests safety and that of their own very seriously. We were really impressed with how informative the website was and the information we received prior to arrival. This just made us feel very safe. The site itself is set behind a small country pub. The pub is currently closed due to coronavirus. The owners have had to rearrange the way they work to open the campsite, whilst also offering a couple of food/drink options and a small shop. We were really impressed with how they have done this and took advantage of the homemade pizzas on offer on our first night. The lodge pod we booked was really great. Self contained accommodation with a double bed, pull out sofa bed, small kitchenette and shower room. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The shower was powerful and no issue with hot water. We found the site peaceful and the location and views from the campsite were stunning. We did check out the campsite facilities and thought they were very clean and included everything needed. There were 4 showers and 4 toilets I think, servicing the campsite and glampsite. Has the potential to get busy I suppose if the site were full to capacity. We found there was lots to do with our 10 year old in the area. We did Lincoln castle, a wildlife park and a farm. We also visited Horncastle and had a walk around Louth. We spotted a few other things to do for our next visit too so definitely worth another visit. All in all we had a great time and would definitely visit here again, possibly bringing our tent once Covid isn’t an issue. Just don’t feel like sharing at the moment no matter how clean they were. Thanks for a great, safe and comfortable stay.

Stayed in the Henry pod for 4nights, which we found to be very clean and comfortable for our stay, due to Covid the owners have a good safe cleaning program to ensure everyone is safe. The owners are very friendly and helpful, its a small campsite, with a mixture of pods and pitches for tent's and caravans.
At the moment the Pub is closed to the public, however the owners will provide pizza and chips and drink which is bookable in advance.
We strolled around the market town of Louth, Lincoln Castle is a must visit.
Thanks for a great Staycation

We have just spent a week there, it was the 2nd time we’ve been. we went mainly for easy access to Cadwell park. The campsite is perfect for us, nice and respectful campers. The facilities in the ready tents are fabulous. The pub is great, just would like some more traditional pub food on the menu.
The toilet/shower block is great but could do with the timings on the automatic lights changing, they go off every 10seconds. Also some paper towels for night time toilet vista as the hand dryers are really loud. The cleanliness wasn’t as good as last year either. For this reason I only gave a 4 out of 5. We will certainly go again.

To start on the only positive All the staff seemed pleasant although the manager seemed to lack people skills. We booked for 3 night but only stayed 1 night It’s over priced for what is. Considering you have to bring your own bedding, Towels etc. The pod was cleaned half heartedly, there was dust and dirt in several places and we weren’t the only customers there that had a complaint about cleanliness. The mattress was uncomfortable and the material was made of some sort of horrible waterproof material, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. The WiFi was terrible in the pods.
The menu was limited and overpriced. The food tasted ok but was a bit bland considering I paid £18 for one plate of food, considering we had to eat in a cold bar room, which made the experience unpleasant, the fire was on but didn’t warm the room up as the doors were open, when I shut the doors, they were immediately opened again by the manager saying it was for ventilation, gods know what it will be like in midwinter when it’s below zero and there’s snow on the ground. I stay in hotels for work often and I know We could have stayed in a decent hotel room with better facilities for cheaper.

I am always sorry when people don't enjoy themselves here. We are a small pub with its own glampsite and campsite that we have pretty much built with our own hands over the years. It definently isn't a financed hotel with marble suites and butler service and definently not at £18 ph for the dish you had which from farm, abattoir, butcher, wholesaler, pub, chef, waitress and pot washer...even in a cold room is not expensive my friend. My wife is covid nervous, getting there but that is where she generally is and many of our customers are also a bit wary, Generally, I hope you would accept, ventilation is good. I agree thought that at some point it becomes impossible, frustration and annoying. We have moved on with that at least. Regards the pod cleaning, we have hit an excellent standard throughout the year but its possible that there were some issues at the time of your stay. If there were, very sorry. Honestly, we try really hard but sometimes its just not the right fit for someone. It is glamping, not hoteling.

Set in the most stunning countryside, this site is unique. It is quiet, peaceful, well maintained and has a pub on site, what more could you want. Denise, Ian and especially the lovely Tray make you feel like you are one of the family and very special to them. The village is beautiful and the whole area is criss crossed with public footpaths, so an absolute must for walkers and dog owners. We have a caravan and the site has all the important things for us, good electric supply, good TV signal, waste disposal points and drinking water. The shower and toilet facilities are basic but clean. We cannot recommend this site enough and having read some of the negative comments below, I can only think that those people should perhaps stick to hotels and give the camping or glamping a miss.

Great base for exploring on our first visit to The Lincolnshire Wolds, we stayed in our campervan with our dog, fabulous sized pitches, very peaceful with ever so friendly staff and other campers. Lovely walks from the site too. We ate in the pub which was absolutely lovely, made to feel very welcome. The two newer shower rooms with their own wash hand basin and loo, attached to the pub, were much better than the old one’s nearer the camping area, these really could do with an upgrade but fine for a wee, sure the owners know this as they seem to be spending a lot of money on the site in general, would definitely return soon 💕🐶🚐

Found this little gem just by chance and stayed in our caravan this weekend- absolutely wonderful site and the amenities are excellent - all of this with of stunning views of the countryside. The staff are so nice and helpful and we enjoyed it so much that one of our family also stayed in the lovely Shepheds hut ( which I might add is extremely reasonably priced). The pub is so quaint and cosy with lovely big wood burning stoves that were a blessing on the slightly chilly evenings. Food was absolutely fantastic and again reasonably priced- Thankyou for a wonderful stay we will be back .

We camped here last year and it was wonderful, great pitch (14) and even with the pub closed the takeaway fish and chips were excellent value and delicious.

This is why we returned and booked the same pitch this year
What a bitter disappointment, raw sewerage had been or still is being discharged into the stream
that runs between the clamping pods site and the field site.

No privacy at the wash block and only two dirty over used toilets for a full campsite.

We love the Lincolnshire Wolds and will return but never again will we be camping at the Three Horseshoes

Sorry you had a bad time this year after such a nice time the year before. True the sewerage plant has broken down a few times this year, not ideal having been so busy and not always solvable instantly although we would happily have moved you if we could. The campsite has four toilet and shower rooms spread over two blocks, all private. We also have toilets in the pub and most of our pods have their own facilities. Therefore for the 16 pitches we have, there are in fact a lot of toilets and showers, far in excess of the regulatory guidelines regards minimum numbers for facilities for caravan parks and campsites. Toilets are cleaned thrice daily during the summer season which is also management checked and we are always willing to clean up if there is a mess to deal with between cleans. We just need people to let us know. Anyway, sorry to disappoint but I hope you visit the area again at least.

We arrived at 8.15pm not really expecting the pub to offer food as they stopped serving at 8pm but were told we could still order, the BEST homemade burger I’ve ever eaten said my husband and he is one fussy eater.

We stayed in an en suite pod, amazing power shower and plenty of room even with two dogs sharing the space, all you need is there.

Nearest beach is 30mins drive away so not too far and lots of pleasant walks around.
The staff were all lovely and again the food was superb, highly recommend this lovely site.

We were welcomed when we first arrived. Parking was right near our pod so we didn't need to lug bags far. I think we luckily chose dates when the campsite was quiet, so we got to enjoy hearing the birds singing every morning. We stayed in one of the ensuite pods which was ideal for the two of us, although the sofa bed did pull out if your party was bigger. The pod was clean, tidy and well equipped.
We ate at the on site pub one night and was extra lazy the other two nights and used their app to order from their takeaway menu, which is delivered to your pod. Good pub grub and portion sizes.
There's lots to do within walking distance or a short drive away. The wolds are beautiful.
A wonderful, restful break away and would definitely come back again and recommend to others. The whole set up the owners have created here, from paying online beforehand, to the stay itself was made easy and stress free.
