Stayed at North Lea for one week when the weather was superb, sun all day for seven days. Location in Staithes is very good, with two nine year olds crabbing by the lifeboat station or paddling around the harbour in an inflatable was no problem. Rock pooling and fishing + the walk along the beach to Runswick passed several days...

What an outstanding cottage ! Loved every minute we stayed, blessed with the weather so thoroughly enjoyed the patio. 4 adults & 2 children, loads of room. Really nicely furnished, you only need to take yourselves ! Had a completely chilled stay, will be back !

We've just returned from a fab weekend in Staithes staying in the lovely Shangri La. This cottage is in a wonderful position, literally steps from the beach, the pub and the cafe. Great little seating area outside which is perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine when the kids are in bed and watching the world go by....

Absolutely perfect weekend 7th-9th March. The old cottage is comfortable and contains everything you need. The location is perfect being only a short walk from the harbour and the Cleveland way. (great for the dogs) A visit to the cod and lobster pub won't disappoint, the drinks and food go down a treat and don't hit the pocket hard at...

Almost hesitant in writing this review as want to keep this beautiful cottage a secret. Our 4th visit this year. The cottage itself its beautiful with the best views in the village. Tastefully decorated with en suite bathrooms and 2 real fires. Its even dog friendly. Nothing better than sitting on the patio looking out to sea with a glass...

Just got back from a family holiday in Staithes and what a place it is. From the moment we arrived in the village I loved it, and when we walked into Harbourside Cottage my trip got even better. We were a party of 8 adults and 1 child and Harbourside Cottage easily accommodated us. Very clean and spacious, and the...

Just had the most fantastic birthday weekend in Staithes. Stunning views, fantastic accommmodation where we stayed was called the Balmoral and I cannot reccommend it highly enough. To top it all off the weather was brilliant. Cannot wait to visit again. The fish and chips at the Cod and Lobster are EXCELLENT!.

We ended up at this cottage by accident having booked into other accommodation (let by a completely different company) with which we were sorely disappointed, disappointed enough to pack up and leave. Maureen and Maurice at Staithes Cottages picked up the pieces and could not have been more helpful in finding and prepping alternative accommodation. They made the remainder of...

Just had the most fantastic weekend in Staithes. Stunning views, stunning weather, fantastic accommadation. We stayed in the Kessen Bowl, and cannot recommend it highly enough. On top of that there was no phone or internet access. Which makes it a complete break from the rat race. We will be back

“again, research your cottage! book in plenty of time and ask Maureen's advice if you have specific needs: eg Coble Cottage is really the only property suitable for guests with limited mobility. please note that this is a quirky, tiny little village and properties are created amongst the original tiny fishermen's cottages so expect innovative uses of space, strange angles, smaller rooms. If you want the character you need to be ready to be flexible! If you want space and straight lines, stay in a Marriott! All finished to a comfortable standard.”
