This HF Holiday property offers a great location for walkers and hikers of all ages. Informative staff, discovery room with guided walks suggestions , free WiFi in rooms, kettle, lots of hot water, safe and secure. Although the rooms are dated, they are comfortable and clean. You will hear creaky floor boards and TV noise as the walls are not... More

What a stunner of a place. Beautiful scenery and not to packed with people. Has a quirky little gift shop. Parking is a plenty and it's £3.60 and goes to the national trust. Would def recommend coming here if you enjoy a challenging walk but also a very quiet and scenic place. Would come again. Everyone from dogs kids and... More

This hotel is part of the HF Holidays group of hotels and houses. They are geared to walking and other activity breaks. The hotel was built in 1901 and the age shows in some aspects but generally the sense is of a well maintained establishment.I took a group of 25 walkers for a four day break. The welcome and the... We booked the Longmynd as we are annual entrants at the nearby Onslow Park Steam Rally and latterly have chosen to book ourselves in rather than camp. This year the Longmynd came out ahead of the rest and as it is obviously a location with a past we booked it. We had no idea we were booking a Holiday Fellowship... More

Just back from the "Industrial Heritage" themed five day event organised by HF Holidays at The Longmynd. The great thing about HF (Holiday Fellowship) is that they are not only geared to walkers, but also geared to solo travellers and those who generally enjoy meeting people. The event included trips to Stourport (development of the canals), the various museums and... More

The LongMynd is a faded version of its former self. It is well located for walkers, It's quiet, and clean. But that's where it ends. The furnishings and decor are very basic, and my shower leaked so was not very efficient My friends stayed at Ragleth Houses in the town, which was a similar price but in a completely different... Stayed here recently, wasn't sure what to expect but found staying here to be very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Hotel could do with a bit of modernization but overall I would recommend it.
