Locander was faultless thanks to the continuing care of the lovely Cindy and the amazing Pio. Our room was spacious, comfortable and delightful. The food was wonderful: inventive, delicious and maximizing the use of local produce. Unlike any hotel I’ve stayed in, we felt like we were the guest of long standing friends. To add to it, Pio produced the best breakfast I've ever eaten

Property's Favourite Review
On arrival this unassuming looking property opens its doors to a Pandora’s box of treats. Once through to the internal rooms you are immediately wowed by the enhanced original features of this stunning property. It’s warm appearance matched by the welcome received by the proprietors Pio and Cindy. Very friendly and aiming to please all guests to the highest of standards whatever their needs and dietary requirements. We stayed in the San Francisco room with the most picturesque view of the harbour and surrounding area. We had the most comfortable two nights sleep only made better by the breakfast provided the following mornings. We also booked for two nights within the restaurant and both evenings we were served outstanding dishes! Some we have tried to replicate at home! It’s location is a perfect base to explore the Exmoor surrounding walks. Locanda provides five rooms only so if piece and quite is your thing then look no further. It’s the most relaxing weekend away we’ve had.

I don't think that I have enough superlatives to describe the welcome, the comfort, the food, the friendliness and the Service that we enjoyed in this wonderful gem of a place run by Cindy and Pio. We enjoyed two nights of feeling that we were being spoiled and returned home feeling thoroughly refreshed and knowing that we will return there when we can. Thankyou.

We only stayed one night as the 4 rooms were full the next night, which was a shame. Cindy was very welcoming with a glass of wine when we arrived. Our room was large and comfortable with a good sea view. A 4 course set dinner was very well cooked by Pio the Italian chef. We walked to Culbone Church the next day along the coastal footpath, which seemed longer than the 2 miles on the sign! Porlock Weir is a lovely quiet setting.

After getting married last weekend my other half and I were lucky enough to snap up a room at Locanda on the Weir for 2 nights to stretch out our honeymoon week! And what an amazing time we’ve had! Pio and Cindy’s passion shines through in all aspects of this gorgeous little boutique hotel- from the amazing food cooked by Pio, to the ultra chic but homely style of all of rooms (the photos don’t do justice to just how beautiful it is) and the attentive but friendly style. We can’t wait to come back! We only hope we can get in in the future, we can’t help but feel that this little gem of a place is destined for lots of success! P.s if you do come here, definitely opt for the evening meal. You won’t regret it!
