If your looking for a quiet break with good food, real ales and a log fire look no more. This is our 6th stay in the red lion and we will continue to visit every year. Lacock is a charming unspoilt village which can be walked around in 15 minutes.

Perfect one-night stay in a one-of-a kind village. Ideal for National Trust members. Would recommend a visit to the Abbey, a walk in the woods, a cream tea at the 'Sign of the Angel' pub and a meal in the Red Lion. A pint, hearty meat main dish and their alcoholic trifle. This was idyllic and the kind of memory...

We arranged to meet wo good friends who we first met on holiday in Zakynthos. The staff of this Wadsworth inn situated in the famous National Trust village of Lacock were excellent. Very experienced and friendly. We reserved a table near the log fire on a bitterly cold day. We ordered haddock fish cakes with chips and salad followed by...

Of course this pub can be overrun with hordes of gaping tourists......this quaint village isn't a prime film location for nothing. However, if you can drop into the pub when it's not crazy-busy, it's a delightful place to be. Service is slow, but friendly.....sit back and relax by the fireplace and you won't be disappointed. Terrific homemade soup and generous...

Ate here again last week. The lunch was so full of flavour, beautifully presented from friendly staff. The only thing I left on my plate was the bone from the meat! Everyone in the group agreed on the quality of the food. We were not staying so cannot comment on the rooms,

The food is prepared during the day & heated up. Very poor tired veg that have been lying around all day & heated up. Waitress service good. Bar service awful rude person who kept turning her back & ignoring people waiting to be served. Had to wait for ages at the bar to pay the bill.

Stopped in for a pint and got to sit by one of the multiple fireplaces and relax. It was great and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. Staff was very nice and friendly and the town is super picturesque.

First visit to The Red Lion, though not to Lacock. Lunch for 15 of us and we were well taken care of from start to finish, prompt service from all staff and a nice welcome to boot. First the thirst...well-kept Wadworth's on tap and a variety to choose from, plus many bottled beers available. Whoever maintains the cellar is doing...

Great location. Lacock is perfect for a chilled out weekend. Historic buildings, plenty of coffee shops and gift shops. Lacock Abbey a must. Beautiful countryside. The Red Lion is perfectly situated with friendly, helpful staff and good facilities
