Spent three days here, wonderful location. Stayed in the basement room which had loads of space for the family. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast menu was varied and all excellent and prepared by our wonderful host Rhona. To sum up, a perfect B n B, looking forward to our return trip already!

I stayed here at the end of August 2016 on business. I was on the night shift and therefore used the b&b to sleep during the day. Although the b&b was adequate itself the owner was extremely rude and unwelcoming. I struggled to get hot water through my shower two nights in a row and decided enough was enough and...

I regret I was not told of the problems as they arose to allow me to address them. The shower room referred to is for the exclusive use of other guests so that all rooms have their own private facilities and it was essential that this point was emphasised. I am disappointed your stay in Islay was less than satisfactory....

We spent three nights in the first week of July at this B&B. It was the worst part of an otherwise fabulous trip to Islay. We were given a basement room although the main house had vacancies, the heater was on a timer and the landlady refused to leave it on even though the nights were really cold; the internet...

At the point of booking, your agent was offered a choice of accomodation; the garden suite for all 3 nights (giving the advantage of your own sitting room and immediate access to garden and sea shore) or a ground floor room for 2 nights and then transfering to the garden suite for one night. She chose the basement for all...

This B and B is one of the friendliest and most comfortable I have been to. Very close to the ferry port and central to restaurants and shops also. View is spectacular. My husband and I and our friend enjoyed a different breakfast every morning. There is loads of to choose from, all beautifully cooked and presented. Rhona is extremely...

We had a very comfortable stay at Caladh Sona. A wonderful location, our room had a view of the water. The breakfast was incredible! I could never finish mine, juice, porridge, full Scottish, coffee, toast. Also many fish dishes to choose from. Rhona was incredibly helpful and gracious. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is...

Just a lovely experience. Good sized clean rooms in an elegant home right next to the ferry terminal. So it's ideal if you are a car-less foot traveler like us. Delicious multi-course breakfast with a lot of options, from the full scottish to a handful of fish based dishes. So filling that we just skipped lunch all 3 days. Right...

We were so lucky to stay here, having been referred from another inn that was filled. Rhona is the sweetest innkeeper we've met, and the inn is lovely. Our room was in the lower level with our own entrance, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Perfect! Rhona went out of her way to guide us to distilleries and restaurants, and was...

Great beds and decent size room at this BnB. Walking distance from the Port Ellen ferry. The view from the BnB is amazing. 1 night in early September was L85 for 2 people. Islay Hotel restaurant is great too. Right across the street. Fish and chips of course there, but I had sea bass and chips and potatoes. Look out...

We have stayed in this lovely homely B&B many times in the last twelve years and Rhona and Hamish have always provided the warmest of welcomes and the best breakfasts you could wish for. The full Scottish is the only way to go with Loch Fyne kippers and many other fish options as well as the standard fry up which...

Rhona cooked us the best breakfasts on our trip, full Scottish, kippers, porridge etc. We usually shower after a day out before going out for the evening but on all three nights there was no hot water.
