Luxury wee lodges in a very special setting. Why stay in a hotel bedroom, when you can stay in your very own small hotel!?! Beautiful cosy and romantic: wooden lodges set beside a river, among trees in parkland on a golf course. Each lodge has a private veranda reaching out over the water and most lodges have their own hot tub! Inside, these wee homes are packed with luxuries: en-suite facilities, small galley with microwave, etc, Nespresso coffee machine for a fantastic morning coffee, amazing Egyptian linens.

Our first getaway together since 2019 and what a getaway it was. The hot tub is hot, ALL of the time. I really think people take this for granted as what other lodge has a hot tub that is always hot? Maybe I don’t know enough about hot tubs, but lots I have viewed take a few hours to warm up. The chilled prosecco, bathrobes and late check out was a lovely touch when booking direct. And of course all of the complimentary treats. They didn’t last long! I especially loved the cookies. Everything has been thought about here; milk, tea towels, dog treats and even scissors. Sounds silly but when you bring your dog scissors are needed to open the packets of his (rather expensive) dog food! A true wee home away from home. The bed was so comfy (especially the pillows). We loved the

Hello Jemma - so glad you and your dogie enjoyed your stay with us, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. Our hot tub team work very hard to keep all the tubs clean and hot so its great to hear your feedback and I'll pass this onto them. Yes you must come back soon even during the winter months can be lovely here at Woodlands and no Midges!! All the best, Lorna

Me and my partner had booked a night away here for his birthday, the location is stunning and beautiful views. We had originally booked one night but got a email offering us another night for 199 which we took and are grateful for. We were also offered a upgrade to a seabeds lodge but we turned it down as I wanted the pod on the river (which was a issue) as you will read. The CONS The pod is quite nice but there was a lot of issues, there was a broken light hanging out the roof, the panel in the toilet was hanging off we had to push it back on but it was easy knocked off when you tried to flush the toilet. They delivered breakfast with no milk so had no milk for coffee, they do provide orange juice in the mini fridge tho, also had a note in the basket saying check out at 10am

We have now visited twice, and would have been a lot more if it wasn’t for covid. We have just came back yesterday and are looking to hopefully rebook again for near Christmas. We stayed at the seabed lodge and had the most amazing, relaxing time. The staff are so lovely and great service whenever we needed anything. The breakfast is delicious and can request what you want in your basket in the morning. The hot tubs just put the cherry on the top and the views from the seabeds are amazing. We were dreading coming home on Wednesday, and received a lovely email asking if we wanted another night stay for a very reasonable price which we couldn’t say no to. I cannot wait to go back, and a special mention to Lorna and Katie Y who helped us book our stay! X

The location and little hut was lovely, overlooking the river. We travelled here for our honeymoon, the cabin was great, it had two of everything so perfect for couples, homemade cookies and nice ambiance. The only downsides were the tv was not smart and couldn’t play Netflix and there were mosquitoes everywhere. The really disappointing thing was that the woman at reception was very rude to us when we were checking out. We had a 20 minute delay past checkout (10am), and she charged our card without a curtesy call to warn us. When we complained she told us that this is how it works and this ‘is not a hotel’.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review Ismail. We're glad to hear you had a magical honeymoon stay with us here at Woodlands. Creating special memories is just what we love to do! Unfortunately between the months of June and September we do get midges which can be a little annoying. Thankfully the complimentary midge spray in the lodge works wonders to keep them at bay and on days where they are particularly bad we give out fire pits as they don't seem to like the smoke. I wish we'd known you were having issues and we could have dropped one off to you. Our check out time is 10am and we give all guests until 10.30 before charging the late checkout fee of £11.95. If a guest lets us know with a phone call or email that they will be a little later we usually waive this fee. Our reception team do let you know on checkout if there will be any extra charges before making them to your card, so this was just her warning you that the charge would be made rather than making the charge. Either way, we'd be glad to welcome you back and to throw in a complimentary late checkout for your next stay as an apology for all of the confusion!

My husband and I stayed recently for my 40th birthday and were not disappointed. The wee lodge is an ideal base for exploring beautiful Glencoe. Yes it’s compact and the wet room takes a bit of getting used to but it’s lovely and has everything you could possibly need. Breakfast in the morning delivered to your door is ideal, just the right amount and if you need anything extra all you have to do is ask. The only thing that’s needed is an extra bath mat, one for the floor coming out of the shower and one for the front door coming in from the hot tub and a hand towel for after using the toilet. The fridge is mini size so don’t bring too much and there is no freezer compartment for ice etc. bed is very comfy and the slight noise from the river very calming, you can hardly hear

An adorable little find during our honeymoon trip to Scotland. We had mentioned in our reservation that we would be there to celebrate our honeymoon and we were completely surprised upon arrival. The staff had decorated our pod with rose petals and champagne and even a cake. The pod was super awesome and cozy. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. Would absolutely go back!!

My partner had saved for a surprise weekend stay at one of the Riverbed lodges costing £695 for the night. Unfortunately the day prior our child became extremely ill and being unable to leave him we asked if it could be moved to a week day the following week which could be booked for half the price, £349. We were absolutely heartbroken to be told that there was nothing that could be done but to email the management team who would reconsider it the next week, which we did. The guest experience manger who replied to us the next week was in compassionate and did nothing to help us at all. Given the circumstances we had hoped as a gesture of goodwill there was a chance we could move our booking, but on the contrary we were spoken to like idiots and left with a less than

Our number one goal is to show people just how magical a trip to Glencoe can be and we completely empathize with you in this situation as you must be incredibly disappointed, as we would be too. Unfortunately, we're not sure this review is entirely accurate. We received a call on the morning of arrival at 10.30am to say you might be unable to make your stay due to child illness and also having run over your own dog(?). This was then confirmed at 11.30 am. With check-in time being 4 pm, there was no possibility we would have been able to reschedule your stay. We did refund £100 of your extras as a gesture of goodwill. As with most Scottish hospitality businesses, we advise carrying your own personal travel insurance 3 times in the booking process and even offer our own peace of mind cover for just £15 which protects your booking for situations just like this. Our peace of mind cover is cheaper than booking a flexible rate on booking.com or any third party and gives you up until 24 hours before arrival to cancel or reschedule your stay. For all direct bookings made on our website, we offer a free 14-day cancellation policy. So we are extremely flexible and do our best to assist in any way we can. However, for an on-the-day cancellation, we cannot be flexible as ultimately we would not be able to function as a business in the Highlands. We make our policy on this very clear and reiterate it multiple times in the booking process and in your confirmation email too. Travel insurance exists for just this reason and is extremely low cost for the protection that it gives you, even when traveling domestically. That is why all hotels are now recommending that you carry it, so we are not alone in this policy. We are deeply sorry that you have lost out on this occasion as ultimately all we want everyone to have a fantastic stay at Woodlands.

After exploring Scotland in a campervan for just over a week late March into April, this was a nice little treat for one night for us to refresh and relax. Glen coe is a stunning area and the lodges location is beautiful. Our cosy pod overlooked the river with a snowy mountain in the distance, very romantic. Booking, check-in and check-out was all easy; very friendly staff. Our accommodation was immaculate, well equipped with everything we needed. Hot tub was bubbling away and ready for us on arrival and breakfast the next morning was a lovely touch too. I would definitely stay here again and can imagine when trees are in leaf it's even more beautiful. Highly recommend to others for a romantic little getaway.

Myself and my husband stayed at riverbeds for 2 nights in March for part of our honeymoon - was not what I was expecting and we left feeling let down and embarrassed at the price we paid for the stay. The cabins are small and cosy - which is nice to look at but the minute any of our things were brought in the place was untidy, due to lack of storage space. The fridge is absolutely tiny-we had bought some food to bbq which barely fitted in the fridge!! No freezer either therefore no ice for our drinks, and again no room for our own drinks/mixer in our fridge. The toilet/shower situation, whilst making the most of a small space, we found unhygienic and the floor remained wet after a shower for quite some time. The breakfast in the baskets each morning was disappointing- for
