I originally came here many years ago with a friend and have many fond memories of playing pool and downing whisky in the Boots bar. Great to see this bar is still as it was and I can imagine with live music a cracking atmosphere....More
Nestled away in the foothills, what a glorious setting for exploring and enjoying some Scottish craic. (The whisky cider in the Boots Bar is delicious but dangerous..).
We had one of the chalet rooms with a view of the hills.

If you are walking the whole WHW then you will pass the Kings house hotel which has an excellent boot bar at the back and then sadly the walk crosses over the devils staircase to drop down into kinlochleven so the walk... More
If you are walking the whole WHW then you will pass the Kings house hotel which has an excellent boot bar at the back and then sadly the walk crosses over the devils staircase to drop down into kinlochleven so the walk skirts the eastern end of glen Coe while the chlachaig is at the other end of glen Coe there is a perfectly good path to it through glen Coe but it's a fair extra detour of the WHW
