Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A big thank you to Hillary and Graham for helping to make our stay in Kelso memorable during the annual folk festival. Their hospitality, comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts were appreciated. A lovely spot 5 minutes stroll from Kelso town centre with off road parking They even put on good weather too!

Great place to stay in the borders. The people who run the guesthouse are very friendly and helpful, happy to share their tips on the local area. My brother and I were on a motorcycle holiday and the bikes were really safe. The room was just what we needed and the breakfast was excellent, made with top quality local ingredients. I'll be back soon.

We arrived a little early on the Tue and asked Graham if it was ok to leave car in car park, which was no problem at all. Graham pointed us in the direction of Kelso town centre while he did finishing touches to our room, on arriving back to the Bellevue our room was spotless, the bed was a king size and for us really comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee, uht milk, bottled water too! White soft towels, and complimentary toiletries . Graham advice was excellent on where to go for lunch/ dinner and places of interest to visit, he advised us to book our dinner for the following evening which he recommended the contented vine (which was excellent) We have to say Graham's breakfast was the best we have had in a long time, all locally sourced ingredients and cooked perfectly both mornings that we stayed. I would say the Bellevue is full of character and quirky, and will be returning in September to see Graham and Hilary the dogs too!

Two night stay. Graham the owner very pleasant and welcoming. House very old and qwirky with a lovely stained glass window as a roof light. Rooms not overly big but bed was king size and very comfortable. Breakfast on both mornings was porridge for me and scrambled egg n bacon for the other half. Both very tasty and hot.Graham said try the Italian , the Contented Vine, wow.. you will be very impressed. Salmon n prawn pasta was spectacular. Would we stay at the Bellevue again? Yes we will. Thankyou Graham for a lovely stay.

DIRTY !!! Dust, cobwebs, out of date uht milk in room Nov 22, biscuits in room Feb 23. Breakfast room floor not swept the 2 day we stayed. Dirty cutlery on table. Dirty napkins. Breakfast cereal in open mixing bowls then after service poured into sealed container only to be tipped into mixing bowl again the next day. God only knows how old the cereal is, You get kicked out after breakfast and not allowed back untill after 4pm only to be told by rude host "i've got jobs to do" Stay well away from this B&B

We spent 2 nights at The Bellevue recently and found Graham very friendly and helpful. On arrival he gave us lots of helpful local info - and his cooked breakfasts are superb. The Bellevue is ideally located near the town centre shops, amenities and is a stones throw from the gates into Floors Castle Estate .

We spent a very enjoyable couple of days at the Bellvue Guest House in August 2022. The property was very easy to find when entering the town from Edinburgh. On arrival our hosts made us most welcome. While on one of the main roads into town it was extremely quiet both during day and night during our stay. We were in a large comfortable room facing the road and overlooking the Bowling Club. The property has its own small car parking area to the rear is also a short walk away from the centre of town. It is also close to the River Tweed. Breakfast was very good and I really appreciated getting a few fried mushrooms which I always have whenever we have a cooked breakfast at home.

We booked last minute the week before going. price was OK considering we were allowed to take our 🐕 with us. We arrived early so Graham the owner gave us a map and pointed out a nice walk by the river to pass the time. we ended up spending all our time at the cobby walk during our stay. The room was pleasant and suited the building, the shower room was just the right size .toiletries were included in the room. The hot breakfast was locally sourced and my husband loved it,I was happy to have yogurt and toast as part of the continental breakfast. Graham was full of local information about nearby walks and pubs that allowed dogs.

The personal care was one of the best we've ever had. It was realy hard to drive away from Bellevue House today. The town of Kelso is nice, we loved the walks at the both rivers most. It is a good place for recreation from work in a big city.
