Solid Luxury offer 39 luxury self catering lodges beautifully situated in mature woodland. There are several types of lodges to choose from sleeping 2 to 8. The Area - Conifer Lodges is an ideal place to escape and unwind based on the outskirts of Newton Stewart in the beautiful county of Dumfries and Galloway. With the backdrop of the Galloway Forest Park on one side and bordered by the Golf Course on the other, Conifer Lodges is the ideal base for a family holiday or a romantic break with your loved one. Dog Friendly Accommodation -Many of us at Solid Luxury are dog owners and know how important it is to be able to go on holiday with the whole family! Most of our lodges are dog friendly at Conifers and we would highly recommend visiting the Galloway Forest Park for some excellent walks. All of our properties are gated allowing your dog in and out of your lodge freely without worrying about them running away.

A luxurious Christmas

We spent 3 nights at Conifer lodges. It was supposed to be 4 nights but because of lock down, Conifer Lodge reimbursed us for a night. It was bliss. When we arrived the lamps were on and glowing, the heating was turned on and there was a Christmas tree with lights a twinkling. It was literally like a home away from home. The bake trays in the oven was lined with foil. There were sachets of hot chocolate in a basket next to the kettle. The place was immaculate. There was shower gel and hand wash. They also supply towels. The hot tub was turned on so that all you had to do was take the cover off. The neighbours were friendly too. We had a blast. It was good to get away from it all and just relax. Thanks for an amazing time away

Pure Luxury

Stayed for two nights for my birthday. The lodge no.7 was perfect in every way. Very private with enclosed garden It was immaculate inside and everything supplied that would be needed ,towels toiletries bathrobes. Wow. The decor and furnishings are off very high standard with beautiful artwork throughout the lodge. All Quality furnishings bedding and kitchenware. The girls went out of their way to make it extra special as it was my birthday.... arrived at the lodge to find it decorated with birthday banners and balloons. Rose petal on the bed. Lovely touch. They even supplied towel,treats bowl and bags for my wee dog. The Hot tub was up and running ready for us to use immediately. The hot tub was checked first thing in morning to ensure it was all in working safe order and if it needed cleaned out it would've been done. The staff are all very polite and helpful and work very very hard to ensure your stay is enjoyable and most importantly safe in these uncertain times. We will definitely be returning to Conifers Lodges. Keep up the great work and stay safe all. Lucille Barr & Brian McKie…

Christmas Break

Lord Galloway 38. Second time we have stayed in Lord Galloway Lodges plenty of room for 6 adults a baby and 2 dogs. Well equipped. Spotlessly clean, Hot tub checked daily and always ready for use. Lights on and heating on for arrival very welcoming. Attention to detail superb. Rooms and ensuite facilities amazing. Extra touches such as Christmas tree, Christmas dish towels and foil roasting tins also a welcome tin of chocolates and Christmas card even use of dog blanket and bowls if required excellent. Will definitely be back. Only thing I would like would be a full length mirror.

Honeymoon

We had the best time here at Connifer Lodges. It was perfect. The lodge we stayed in was amazing. Was spotless on arrival. They had a lovely Christmas tree up and they also put rose petals on our bed which made it look extra romantic. The hot tub was great and the view of the stars were amazing. We went out star gazing most nights too and went on a lot of nature walks. We stayed here for a week and we slept very well every night. Would definitely come back again.

Highly Recommend for Couples, Families AND Friends!

These lodges were so perfect! They had everything we needed for a great weekend away, just need to bring your own food and they’ve got the rest! Even little egg cups! We heard that you could get a great view of the sky from here and they were correct! We were enjoying the hot tub on a cloudy night and all of a sudden we looked up and saw thousands and thousands of stars! The sky cleared up and it was such a magical view! These lodges are the perfect size for small families, couples and friends! We will definitely be coming back!!
