I have stopped at The Stables many times in 2016 on business due to a major project. Thank the lord for Jacqui's beautiful home, it's made my business more enjoyable and even if I have had a bad day I could look forward to a comfortable evening back at the stables. All the rooms are well furnished and have plenty...

We stayed here just for the one night but would have loved to stay longer. Had a lovely double room with en-suite. The bed was so comfotable and didnt want to get out it in the morning. Brilliant breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and my partner had poached eggs on toast. Plenty to help yourself too as well...

Our stay at the Stables was very comfortable. Jacqui provides a warm welcome and good advice about the local area. The room was spotless. Breakfast was very high quality with a range of fruits, cereals and a number of well-prepared cooked options, too. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was a favourite.

A friend and I came up here for three nights on holiday. We could not have picked a better place to stay. We were welcomed with tea and cakes and had two first class rooms. They were clean, well decorated and comfortable. There was a lounge where we could relax, read and plan our next day. Breakfast was substantial and...

We stayed for 3 nights and used The Stables as our base from which to visit The Open at Troon. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and Jacqui our genial host could not have been more helpful - she even lent me gloves to wear at The Open! The breakfast was superb and Jacqui uses locally sourced...

Four of us stopped the one night, (on our way to Troon) 4 separate rooms, we all found the reception from Jacqui most welcome after our long journey. The rooms were well appointed and spotless, the breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Excellent place to stop, our journey on to Royal Troon was 50 miles but the roads brilliant

Three of us returned to Newton Stewart to go mountain biking, and instantly knew we would be staying at Stables again. Jacqui looked after us and made sure we were well fed and watered each morning, and the rooms were immaculate, as always. I simply cannot fault any aspect of Stables Guest House, and will certainly be staying next time...

Stayed at The Stables for a night on our honeymoon/road-trip to Scotland, as it was fairly near my uncle's farm. The place was spotless, tastefully decorated and furnished, very comfortable and the service was excellent and friendly. Cannot recommend more highly. Thanks for a wonderful visit.
