I stayed for a couple of nights with my lovely family. Amazing place. Staff so friendly and helpful. We were supposed to go down with a group of our 'friends' but managed to make excuses and sneak away on our own. So glad we discovered this place. Can't wait to tell Alan, Euan,

Can you hire firepits or do you need to bring your own? Thanks
I didn't notice if there were firepits for hire, I'm afraid. J think you probably have to bring your own but best to contact the park directly. The small shop did stock fire lighters and other basic necessities. There is also a food truck on site Wednesday to Sunday, serving locally sourced artisan food. Kayaks, pedalos, life jackets and fishing rods can be hired.

Is there a bus stop near the park
A bus stops on request right outside the campsite which can take you into Castle Douglas, I’m not sure where else. They’re stagecoach buses so you can probably find more info on their website 🙂
