Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped Four nights at The Old Station House, very comfortable, clean and beautiful room. Maggie looked after us very well, helpful and the breakfasts were amazing, fresh fruit, cereal and home cooked breakfast to order. The views were beautiful and very peaceful and quiet at night. Would highly recommend stopping at 'The Old Station House'.

The Old Station House has been beautifully converted from the old building at what was Bridge of Dee station. Maggie and Eric were very friendly and welcoming and we had a very comfortable en suite room with tea and coffee making facilities (plus shortbread!). We were able to make use of the lovely sun room while we were staying and it was delightful looking out over the lovely countryside. Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, toast etc and probably the best cooked breakfast ever. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and hope I can return again sometime.

This was a spotless, friendly b and b. Breakfast was superb. We feel as if we have known the hosts forever. We will be back. We were cycling and they were concerned that we may not have chosen the best route for our onward journey. We poured over maps together like pals.

This was our third stay at The Old Station House and we are looking forward to returning. The Old Station House is a lovely warm, clean, comfortable b and b and they serve excellent breakfasts. Well situated to enjoy everything that the local area has to offer The Old Station House has been perfect for our 'out of season' short breaks in Dumfries and Galloway.

Fantastic B&B. Really lovely converted station house extended to provide B&B accommodation. Everything spotlessly clean, comfy bed, great parking, friendly and helpful hosts. The Station Special (full Scottish Breakfast) was very good, utilising good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. We will be recommending this B&B to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely room and accommodation, excellent conservatory to chill out in overlooking old railway line. Able to walk the dog a little in the outside area too. We had to depart early but a breakfast of bacon roll, tea n toast still provided and very welcome.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly hosts. Clean, beautifully decorated rooms with comfy beds and fluffy towels. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were provided along with a flask of fresh milk and a box of shortbread. Breakfast in the conservatory was delicious, loved the porridge! The old platform now forms a lovely area to sit and enjoy the view. The rest of the family stayed in the railway carriage situated at the far end of the garden. Would highly recommend

Room Tip: Not a criticism but I found the shower tray a little slippery and would have liked a non slip mat.
