Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This guest house is really super. The room we were given was huge with a modern/new bathroom. The people are friendly and helpful, we were allowed to check in early as we had 2 dogs with us who needed to get out of the heat (over 30° on most days whilst we were there). The whole hotel is clean and nicely decorated with comfy beds and a nice breakfast room. The breakfast was very tasty with a good choice of cooked items. In the centre of Ullapool but quiet and peaceful. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Limited off-street parking, but parking on the street doesn't seem to be a problem. Single occupancy of a twin-bedded room; scores highly for somewhere to sit comfortably and work (I use the laptop heavily to process the day's photos and notes for the diary). Tea and coffee in the room; milk is supplied in a small bottle in a fridge in the sitting-room. Plenty of drawer and hanging space. Breakfast offers welcome alternatives to the "full cooked" option; fruit juice and cereal are available, although no milk was on display - do you have to ask for it? TV reception is very intermittent, though - due to the lie of the land? - and I had great difficulty in getting into the wifi initially (not a problem with the password, I believe), and when I did get online, there were sometimes drop-outs.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at this lovely guesthouse. Well situated in Ullapool with easy parking. Very friendly owners who obviously take great pride in their guesthouse. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We will certainly stay again the next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: Do try the 'Scottish continental breakfast' - the venison salami was sublime.

A really lovely B&B. I was given a very spacious, comfortable room that was immaculately clean. The en-suite had fluffy towels and underfloor heating. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended 😊

As hospitality professionals we appreciate the time, effort and attention to detail that Kathy and Mark put into running their business. Our 2 night stay was perfect in every way and they should be very proud of all aspects. Thank you.

Comfortable room, nicely designed. Very large room as well. Great hosts and wonderful breakfast cooked to perfection. Sitting room close to the fireplace with a selection of free whisky (small donations are very welcome for this service). Great location, walking distance from the port.

We were a family group attending a wedding near Ullapool. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet and the hosts went out of their way to make us welcome and the breakfasts were awesome! Great location too for strolling around the village.

We had a lovely stay, super hosts, a very comfy bed and we are looking forward to going back. The local smoked salmon for breakfast was delicious. A great location set back from the main town but a short stroll in. We had room 5 which was very spacious, lovely sea kelp bits in the bathroom too.
